Hey, anyone with autism/AS post here! We are unique; but in a good way! We are 'different' to other people, in a GOOD way. I just wanted anyone with autism/AS to know that, what we have, is good, it may mean we act differently, or our brains are uniquely functioned. But all of this - isn't bad! Some of it to you, you may find is, but a lot of autistic people have become successful and I just wanted you guys to know that :D I have autism/AS, and I just wanted to know if any other RTers/OTers would like to post here, too! |

Research it. Something a few people have, but you may, may not notice it. People sometimes put bad names on us, but truly, we are just like everyone else, but we have different ways, a lot of autistic people are actually smarter than the avaerage person. It's very hard to explain. |

| autism affects the brain in ways. It makes some things harder for the autistic person. On the bright side it usually increases one part of the brain making something easier |

Fine, I'll define it how I think it is - roughly. When someone has trouble understanding things going on around them, sometimes feeling icolated. A lot of autistic people are bullied because of this, and I though everyone should knoww how serious this is. The bullies' only do this because we have different ways than other people and communicating may be harder.
Sometimes people with this may act quiet and may not want people to know. But basically, it is very hard to explain exactly what it is. I, personally, am not, or have no been bullied, but please guys, let people know that we aren't bad and we are just like everyone else, but our brains may comprehend things differently, sometimes perhaps more logically (This is something to do with words and stuff jumbling up in our heads' and sometimes starting to read non fiction books early)

Tir, No, no, it's not like that. Sometimes in class (yes, I do listen, before you say) I find that, when the teacher gives me instructions, I find that the words she/he says would just distort and seem to go straight through my head. We sometimes just aren't perfectly able to pick up instructions and do so. Something I found: "A mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by great difficulty in communicating and forming rElationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts
A mental condition in which fantasy dominates over reality, as a symptom of schizophrenia and other disorders" |

Luigi, Whys that? How does that work??? I thought it was a permanant thing? I thought you have it for your whole life, but when you gradually get older, you may get better at speaking/etc..? I dunno, maybe you still have it, but some of the properties of it that you had when you were younger are gone. |

Autistic people. Autistic people are not that different from normal people. A few of my friends are autistic and so is my little brother.
Autism is a mental and psychological condition where the brain processes in a different way. What confuses me is that allot of people find this bad but a great many of sciences greats minds where infact autistic.
