Hey, I've made a previous thread about this but it didn't work.
So, I'm looking for a good computer which will be good at doing school work. Probably the more important option is gaming, very important. So, I'd be playing the games like TF2, battlefield heroes, COD 4, Sims, MC, and sort of every game, that is good. It'd be around £600 please, that'd be so much of a help. Thanks. <3 |

@Thereal It may be 7 years old but it gets the job done. I can play most any game on it with 20-30 FPS but with a lower graphic setting. As I don't care for graphics as much (as long as I know what something is I'm okay), it's fast, cheap and a very good computer. |

it would really be easier if you built your own but if you live in the UK I hear chillblast computers are pretty good

| @Roseart What games can you play on that computer? There's a reason that computer is 7 years old. Because it's 7 years old behind modern day technology! Those specifications will run games at lowest possible resolution [640x480] and at lowest settings! What you say can be true. It'll run games.. But the results are dreadful. Games made 7 years before like Counter Strike: Source will barely run at medium settings at today's modern day resolution [1920x1080]. Games after 2009. Will crash and burn. |

"Oh, desktop and not building myself"
uuhhg
You really should build it yourself. It's not hard and saves a lot of money.
If it truly isn't an option, I've heard good things about ChillBlast. May look into them. Try to get something similar to the computer I suggested. |

| I'd gladly build a gaming PC, I just have trouble finding out which parts will be the best for me. Constucting one is fairly easy (I've done similar repairs), but I know next to nothing on what's better or worse. |

It only takes around an hour to two hours. (My first build only took me 30-45 minutes, but I extensively researched it and had dismantled and reassembled an old computer, so I guess it doesn't really count)
Also, I made a mistake in the build I linked you. Go for the 8350 instead of the 8320. |

I don't see any reason to use a 7-yo PC for normal gaming when it's already outdated and not future-proof at all.
Best to get something recent and future-proof but cheap.
