Of course it did!
It had no collision chance at all.. But it was big as the one that wiped out the dinosaur's. And just remember, if one is on a direct collision course with earth, I think i'd be glad that we a have NASA. |

I don't see why we don't have any asteroid defence systems in place in this day and age... What if it does happen? We wont be prepared... they should have some type of nuke ready to send up there and fire at the asteroid |

Nuclear weaponry is outlawed by the UN for use in outer space. It would take massive worldwide cooperation for that to happen. |

Your kinda correct but not.
The only way to deflect an asteroid is by hitting it off course, and impact not so great that it will destroy it, but enough to knock it off course. |

Smaller pieces is better.
Anyway, it was a 50/50 chance, NASA's computer could've been messed up (1/1000000 chance of happening) but, it's still good, we're all here. Well some of us. |
