Hmm. You may be right, however, it's best to not give the government that kind of power.

| Kinda hard to pass a law like this because guess what's the majority of our law-making system? |

"because you obviously can't follow another religion with ease these days"
Following a religion is a choice and should remain that way
"Kinda hard to pass a law like this because guess what's the majority of our law-making system?"
Separation of church and state should make this irrelevant |

Government involved with doing that sort of stuff? Man, if the kid is okay with it, its fine. If he's not, its the family business that handles with it.

Ask any North Korean if he/she is okay with their law system. Brain washing causes this. |

"I would take them to church and raise them as a Christian ought to."
That's not abuse if they can choose whether or not to come with you, otherwise you are effectively forcing Christianity into them. |

| The government is doing that kind of stuff now? I'm not suprised, our society is going down the drain with this idiotic president. |

No.
"It's not like it is hurting the kid. They are not hitting him."
Being brainwashed into a religion is psychological torture if they want to get out.
"I'm not forcing anything though."
How aren't you? You're pushing Christianity in their faces by forcing them into a Christian building reciting quotes from the bible. |

@xc What about all the other things we're psychologically forced into? Such as truth in Republicans/Democrats, or even gender roles?
It's not exactly easy for someone who wants to go against these things. |

"who says they cant scream and shout "
The parents, probably. Why should a child need to scream and shout to get away from religious indoctrination in the first place? |

I disagree with those too, you know, but you should at least try not to spoon-feed your child. |

"Well how else are they supposed to be introduced to Christianity or gain an understanding of it?"
Um, buy them a Bible for their birthday? Offer them to church? So what if they say no? Surely it's their religion, so it should be their choice.
"I know that when I was a kid I loathed going to church before I got saved."
Define "I got saved". |

@xc
I'm just saying that it's impossible to outlaw parents raising their children to believe what they want them to.
It's just how the cookie crumbles. |
