I know this post is long, but please give it a chance as i believe it has a good idea.
For some who have played minecraft, have you ever looked at the sky and marveled at their clouds? They move, they generate themselves, they don't lag. I want something like that in roblox. Not so bricky, but things you could call clouds that move along as they generate themselves. I would like a service, like Lighting, called Weather. You could set a Boolean value for if there is weather, and change properties, such as color, height, type, the frequency of it, precipitation, the list could go on. It would also be completely script-able. It wouldn't cause things like wind, that would maybe be to far, nor turbulence. Just some eye candy to go along in game that need weather.
The player could script storm clouds along with their already happening flooding in a survival game. They could make it look like a rocket disappears in the clouds in a shooting game. They could even make the feeling of soaring above the clouds in a jet in a flying game. The ideas are endless!
To highlight key points: -A service like Lighting -A boolean value -Customizable in things like color, height, type, the frequency of it, precipitation -Completely scriptable -Easily compatible in games -Generated endlessly, and can conform to roblox quality
Please, admins, take time to consider this. I personally believe it is a good idea, and I hope you do too. |

| It's almost like when Roblox gave us the fighting game templates. All of the sudden it's not completely awesome and interesting because any noob can plop it into their game. Sorry, no support. |

So you are saying that you don't support because it can help people build better games? There is a difference between the fighting game templates and this. The fighting game templates weren't used in existing popular games where they were used in newer ones. This can be put in all games, and makes not as hassle as making one yourself, which I haven't even seen someone really do. This would be so much easier |

| It is a hassle. Making say, rain with all these features is some pretty tough scripting. |

| Get out of this stupid script it yourself mentality! This is the Suggestion and Ideas forum! I suggested this because it is too hard to make for a average user! ROBLOX, on the other hand, could make it possible to have properties and things like this! This is a possibility i think is plausible! If you think that you can make exactly what I described by scripting, I invite you by all means to prove me wrong! |

| I would love to implement weather, but it has to be the same for every player. It wouldn't work if everyone could make the weather different for themselves. The creator of the game would have to customize it for their game only, and the people who played it would just have to deal with whatever they had made the weather. This is also going to be hard to do without having a buttload of lag, but I do support it. :D |

Why don't you learn to code in RBX.Lua? It would:
1) Give you what you want. 2) Make you smarter. 3) Give you basic programming knowledge. |

| Actually, I do have a basic knowledge of how to code in RBX.Lua. I am not worried about the coding. It's just that the resources needed to make a system of constantly generating non laggy clouds that move across the sky in different shapes that are fully customizable is beyond me, along with many others. Roblox, on the other hand, already have knowledge and access to these methods, and can streamline it, and make it so it is easier to edit the properties. I don't think there are many people who wouldn't want to see this happen. After all, it would be optional, a Boolean value. |

"Script it yourself."
You go implement a good weather system across 50000 studs, doesn't lag, super complex, doesn't use PARTS (good luck), etc. If I want it to rain across a size map volume of 2,500,000,000 studs, the rain would be so awful. Why would I want 2.5 TRILLION bricks? There goes game quality (and ROBLOX would crash, obviously).
Support, would improve ROBLOX realisticity.

| Plus, I'm pretty sure ROBLOX doesn't code the game with Lua, but with C++ or something like that. |

Anyway, realistically I'd need quadrillions for it to look semi-good. |

@Rocklee Oh, of course, because C++ will somehow will upgrade the graphics card of each user by ten fold and allow them to handle billions of individually rendered objects! |

| it will process the scripts differently and more effectively. Everyone thought terrain would be the biggest laggiest thing ever and instead it has almost no lag even when huge |
