The last good thing written in C was Franz Schubert’s Symphony Number 9.
Deleted code is debugged code.
Real programmers don’t comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
“Knock, knock.” “Who’s there?” very long pause…. “Java.”
“I just saw my life flash before my eyes and all I could see was a close tag…”

Those are perfect.
When you said "scripting jokes", I was expecting over-common and by far boring crap such as "Why do programmers always mix up Halloween and Christmas?". |

| Java is not slow. Do you have any reliable source/evidence to back up your absurd theory? |

| Having not played Minecraft, I asked my brother if it runs slowly for him on his laptop (which is pretty minimum spec) and he said it runs fine. Also, even if Minecraft was slow that does not mean that Java is slow. Your information is clearly inaccurate and unreliable as you have only provided one source from which your claims are based. |

"Java has been demonstrated to run at a speed comparable with optimised native code, and modern JVM implementations are regularly benchmarked as one of the fastest language platforms available"
"I'm not a regular Java user, or much of an admirer or the langauge, but the statement "Java is known to be slow" is just ridiculous."
"Java is "slow" because you have to wait for the VM to start up. This used to be quite slow."
"Initially Java was not particularly fast, but not overly slow either. These days Java is very fast. From the people I've talked to the impression of Java being slow comes from 2 things.
Slow VM startup time. The early Java implementation took a long time to start up and load the require libraries and the application compared to native applications.
Slow UI. Early Swing was slow. It probably did not help that most windows users found the default Metal L&F ugly either."
"In all fairness, there are several places where Java is FASTER than most other languages"
After conducting further research it is evident that your theories lack all logic, just like the rumours that they are based on, as you can not provide me with your own sources rather than scanning google for ways in which Java is slow; and hence why you are able to make such false and ridiculous claims. |

| Wow, you must have really been offended to go through all of this hard work to defend your say in an argument that seems to be dead. |

| The reason people say it is is slow, is because it used to be slow. It hasn't been slow in a while. C++ is only slightly faster than java at this point. |

Offended? No. Hard work? Not at all.
I was merely asking for and providing proof but if you want to call it an argument, sure thing. |

Ok, I understand.
I've only used J a few times in the past, saw how horridly slow it ran, switched to C and never looked back. |

| Does "past" mean years ago? If so then perhaps that would explain your absurdity. I am running multiple Java applications at the moment and they are just fine. |
