So why exactly can't I post my google doc URL up? It's not like it's bad or affect ROBLOX in any negative way, only helps it (Free promotion).
It's not like I'm misusing the document in any way? It's just a WAY better looking way to keep track of my game updates. Way better.
If you guys aren't going to allow me to update my game in that fashion, can you ATLEAST tell me how to freaking update my forum POSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

How the hell are YOU part of the help admin.
Bump Bump BUMP
Give me a specific reason and I'll accept it as valid; except any of your 'reasons' are going to be invalid since YouTube is owned BY GOOGLE. |

Sadly, most offsite links are banned because it'd be hard to tell if your link contains a virus, or anything that may be deemed dangerous.

IT'S GOOGLE DOCS, GOOGLE CHECKS THAT STUFF MAN.
I don't see how YouTube is aloud on it when people can click a virus on that so easily.
It's not like the link has any other link or even ads on it? It's just a VIEWABLE document providing what I've done in my game w/ROBLOX. |

The thing here is, ROBLOX does not generally allow off-site material, mainly because they cannot control it. True enough, Google would have scans and such against viruses, quite likely, but ROBLOX has no way of knowing if the link provided is actually for a game update or other material that is against the TOS.
Also, updating forum posts is for some reason not permitted on ROBLOX forums.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me through PM or simply replying to this forum.
One last note, most users responding here are not admins, just other users. The way to tell an admin / moderator from a user, is there will be an icon with the name Administrator or Moderator respectively. Users do not have such icons.
Hope this helps.

There's thousands of reasons why it's not allowed.
And anyways, what is the use of a google doc? Just copy and paste your damn text onto a forum.

Of course, I already knew all of that except the moderators part..
The google doc has the name in it that it's an update post, ANYONE can view it. ONLY I can access it.
But I'll just work around the loop - look out for it soon enough! :]
Don't get mad at me for using my rights ROBLOX. :] |

Regardless of who can edit the document on Google, ROBLOX still can't control what's on said document. I have no doubt you're an honest individual, and I'm sure you would use the document for good use, but if ROBLOX allows you to post an external link, then they have to extend that to all users, and others may abuse it.
Perhaps ROBLOX could implement a system where you can put a changelog onto an object, place, or item, or simply a larger amount of text than is generally permitted through the content boxes. |
