i'm trying to pick more obscure gems for this, so don't necessarily expect household names up here. i'll be going over one at a time, but will be keeping track of the artists
this one goes to king crimson
whilst progressive rock is usually summed up by yes, genesis, pink floyd, and rush, king crimson equally deserves to be considered a cornerstone of said genre. their off-kilter beats and unconventional instrumentation combined with their sheer skill is something i'd describe as a glorious mess. enjoy
noteworthy albums: in the hall of the crimson king (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H678XUB77OA) larks' tongues in the aspic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osVzBPdbW3c)
