Ive played around with Dynamic Lighting a bit, and have no idea how you would create street lamp lights. Would you have to have an invisible part or something???
I also don't know how to create any 3-dimensional lights, or lights that are shining in air, not on a 2-d part. Does this require invisible parts too? I vaguely remember reading something about invisible parts for this on one of the blog posts... :P.
Help me please! Thanks!

You can put it in an invisible brick but also in the light bulb of your lantern. Select the brick that has to give light, click on 'Insert', then 'Basic Objects...' and choose for SpotLight.
The only bad part about this dynamic lightning is that the Angle that the light is going to can't be higher than 180 which means it only lights one side of the brick. You can add 2 bricks and rotate one so that one lits the other side.
I ever suggest 4 bricks which each point a different direction.
To have a nice view of where the light is pointing. Click on Lighting in the Explorer and put GlobalShadows on false.

| It's simple for a light. Basically just have a point light, and turn the brick around till you know what face it's out of. Then put it on the lamp. |

A good example could be one of my uploaded models called: Minecraft Torch Dynamic Lighting |

Thanks. So in summary I was right about making parts invisible to create lamps and stuff like that. Thanks!
Also, how would I make like a flashlight tool with light that goes on and on? Would I have to weld a ton of invisible parts next to eachother in a giant line, because that would be an insane amount of work and would be kinda weird XD.
Thanks for all the help! |

A long beam of light can be done like that, the only problem is that if you have a house, or a series of caves, or anything with a bunch of walls, the flashlight would light up everything in a straight line So someone 180 studs and 15 walls away (or however far you decide the flashlight would work) would see the light bouncing around on walls by them too. |

| There is a new flashlight in catalog that turns your mouse into the light. If you can't afford it you can probably find one in freemodels for the scripts. |

| If you want a flashlight with your look I suggest taking a flashlight that already exists and changing the handle and other bricks in the tool. |
