| If you try to code in a different language- say, Spanish - would it work? So roblox is an English site? |

| If there are non-english programming languages I don't know what they are. |

| ROBLOX permite a otros idiomas, siempre y cuando sigan las reglas. Creo que .. |

I don't recognize the non-english ones, so I think it's fair to say all the major programming languages are english. |

| Though if you wanted you could probably hack up the lua metatables and remap all the keywords to your favorite language. |

| How would one go about doing that? Maybe roblox could implement a feature and truly go global? |

@Shedletsky
But what if "noobs" get the wrong idea...
They hack it into their language and literately destroy the site? |

| I know most people take English as a second language but I think it would still be a good idea to give them options. |

Converting the codebase such that it can flawlessly handle multiple languages might be more difficult than having someone learn the keywords from English.
Really, it doesn't matter much what language the programming language is written in. What matters is that the programmer learns what they keywords mean and how to use them. They don't need to understand English. I've seen C++ written by someone from Norway. He used a bunch of Norwegian language for variables and such but he could understand what the words like "template" or "function" meant. |
