-<:{(N O O C A R Y A)}:>- ---------------------- -:Arcαlοs' Sτοry:- Noocarya, land of Mystery. Though, long ago it would not be what you expect... The seas were shrouded in mist, alive by the shouts of sailors... In battle. Cannons fired at each other with vitality, swords clashed with anger. Vikings they were, pirates of the sea; Arcalos and Oridon both locked at melee combat forced to fight or be sunk to the kraken's lair. There were screams echoing through the thick fog and little could be seen from such a place, like on deck. "Starboard! Starboard! Swing left!" The ship violently turns left through the fog. The rain is pouring in a mist storm. "Prepare your cutlass, men!" A man named Arcalos with a iron knife on his finger draws his cutlass. "Protect the powder or be blown to bits by it!" The ship suddenly turned left at the sound of lightning, the back crashed into the enemy. Lightning suddenly crashed down onto deck as Arcalos ran into the back of the boat, away from the gunpowder. A gigantic splash suddenly lit the seas, both the enemy ship and the escorts were blown to bits by the heavy-weighted boat... So legend has it, eh? These here days in the age of dragons and goblins, elves and fierce warriors is not though all the same, you may or may not find it relating to this land, but that is Noocarya's favorite story-- the story of the high king Arcalos, wielder of lightning. --------------------------

---------------------- II - WRITER'S NOTES Ιπdyrαcοοπ Knowledge of all kingdoms and their lore is not required. All that is required to join this is knowledge of the local races of each kingdom, the places in them, and the main cities you want to be around. You may even learn about one kingdom, unless you plan to enter multiple kingdoms. Sometimes lore is important and would make your character probably more intelligent of the RP, but still, it's not required. Each CS has a name above it, copy from the name down to above the end (-----------------) and fill it out. I will indicate which kingdom your character is from by looking at which CS you used, so use the CS that your character lives in. All the contents, besides the rules, apply locally to the certain kingdom you're reading about, so you most likely wont find a Gorf in Esceritha or a Orc in Arcalos. The name guide from Lasthia will apply to the whole RP. Look in there for naming suggestions. If you're an admin, you will be PMed the coding to both the Noocaryan language and the Ancient Arcalal language. Else, you must figure it out yourself. (Hint: Tons of words in here are used with Noocaryan.) The theme of this RP is medieval-fantasy, based in the Continent of Noocarya, with three ruling kingdoms: Lasthia, Arcalos, and Esceritha. ----------------------

--------------- I - LORE --------------- CHAPTER 1 - Arcalos, wielder of Lightning Arcalos, once a Viking, now a king. Long ago, the seas were lit by fire and cannons. The air was filled with mist. The legends of deep sea creatures like the kraken and serpent were real, that was the time of Arcalos Genintehgil. Born on the rough seas in a storm, in a battle, his mother died from a cut in the wrist. His father died from a cannon shot in-combat. Left without parents, Arcalos was orphaned. Later on when he grew up, Arcalos realized he didn't have an ending to his name, he was just-- Arcalos. He got in combat and lost a finger, so they replaced it with a steel knife. Once out on sea, lightning had struck his boat while on a trade mission with gunpowder. The whole boat exploded, and the escorting boats sunk. Arcalos didn't die though-- he was just seriously injured. His knifed finger acted as a conductor to the electricity. He was electrocuted but by coincidence fell on a soggy piece of wood, left unconscious. When he floated to port of his small town, his friends thought he had died. They took him to the local hospital. He was laid on the floor. That night, he awoke from his unconsciousness. He felt a major straining pain in his chest, but more in his right hand. What this was is electricity, built up. When he recovered, months later, he got used to the pain. He went into a shipbattle. When he went into close combat, he scraped his enemy with his knifed finger and they were suddenly zapped. He later found of his electrified finger. When sailing to the enemy, he died while on a mission to blow up a ship with plans. He was stuck on a rope and the ship blew up with him on it. Though he wasn't dead, he landed in the water and drowned. Who knows? His line may still walk upon us today.
CHAPTER II - Colony Renamed From the original name this place had, which was Raef, it was now renamed after their hero- Arcalos. They slowly expanded and became a huge, successful kingdom. Their capital was still on the coast, which was named after the old kingdom, Raef. Many of their villagers were very rich. The peasants were sometimes poor, but normally mid-class. The city was clean of crime, and the king was reasonable with criminals. Assassins were not there because the king was fair, generous, and kind. For three hundred years was the king this way, until something happened.
CHAPTER III - King Corrupt An assassin who did not like the reign killed the king. This ended the line of Arcalos, except the recent king had two sons who ran away and changed his name. One of the nobles took charge as the king, making everything stricter. To criminals, he gave no mercy, he tortured them straight to death. To low-quality merchants he punished in the stocks. To peasants he took their money for his own pleasure. Many of the citizens hated this so they moved away south to find new land, Lasthia. Though in Arcalos the kingdom was corrupt. His line of reign lasted until now. His current son is far less strict, but he is still very strict.
CHAPTER IV - The Mists of the Lost Legacy The lost line of Arcalos, now shrouded in mist. The two princes settled their own kingdom in Lasthia-- the kingdom of Vanrid. Long, long ago before even the kingdom of Lasthia existed, Vanrid was made. Settlers were making Skytop, the second most ancient town. They would live peacefully on farmsteads. Vanrid was a large kingdom. They were friendly like the last kings of Arcalos. Though they renamed themselves, they dug a passage under the mountain. Next to it they built the Owt, two enormous statues in the shape of themselves. Both holding up a sword and a shield, the sword higher. The king of Arcalos hated this, they hated Vanrid. They sent a large party of angry warriors to destruct it, leaving it in ruins. The descendants of Arcalos also renamed themselves. Who knows? They could still walk among us today. They left it in mist, Vanrid and everything in it. Ghosts and fallen warriors now roam the ruins of Vanrid and they are restless.
CHAPTER V - Spirit Guardians The ancient mages found some places lurking with evil, vicious evil, so to banish those they made three places: the Springs of Spirits, Enchanted Sands, and the Shadowlands. There was accidentally a worm whom the mages teleported to the shadowlands. First, the mages raised the sands in the Enchanted Sands, releasing the spirits so they can teleport them to the Shadowlands. Second, they made the Springs of Spirits, which they teleported the spirits to so they can guard it from trespassers. This well was made by unknown men but it can wield unimaginable powers. Third, they made the Shadowlands, which they made between Thegirb and Rewolf

He died and was buried in the north part of the city, which is rarely considered as Erif'Ergof, in the halls of Erif. This is a huge, long room in the Yerg Mountains with lined pillars all around. It was mainly used as a mine. The entrance is in the side of the Yerg with steps climbing to it. It is a large pointy-top gate which echoes smaller. The rest is tons of large halls, though there is a cavern in connection to it which has steps downward, exiting into Thegirb Fields.

No one since the ancient have passed the gates of Denas'Elpmet.
VII. Springs of Spirits Guarded by ancient spirits, much as else in this kingdom, this spring gives long life to whoever drinks it-- but beware. You must choose from one of five springs to choose a certain talent, but one of the five gives you death. There are four springs, four edged and one in the middle (:o:). The upper right one is red. The upper left is blue. The lower right is green. The lower left is yellow. The middle one is crystal-clear. It is located in a small space in the mountains, in a ravine.
VIII. Shore The shores are beaches located north, east, and west all around Arcalos. CITIES -Laroc A city on the beach for Trolls and Gorves. Buildings look like empty wooden towers: /\ |_| |\| |/| |_| It is like four wooden beams in a frame with crossbeams going upward with a small, open tower at the top, covered with leaves in a dome. There are bridges connecting from tower to tower.
IIX. Shadowlands The shadowlands are dark, gloomy, and most trees are dead. It is normally stormy and there are sudden cliffs and drop offs. I. LORE --------- CHAPTER 1 - WAR OF THE ANCIENTS Long ago, legend has it that there were five ruling kingdoms- Lasthia, Elur, Cigam, Trelia, and Der'Flod. Lasthia was a medium-sized faction, not much to it. Elur were the mountain-men, small but well-equipped. Cigam were the desert men from the south-- skilled in melee. Trelia were of all nature, they were elves, actually. Der'Flod were the orcish though, not evil, but misunderstood. These five kingdoms had years of arguing, and it all built up until their towns were full of knights and warriors. It started with the march of Elur from the north on Trelia. They came with fire, axes, burning and chopping their forests. Trelia fled to the woods not to be seen for ages. They made their way down east-- to Cigam. They conqured them, banishing and vanquishing them into ghouls. They marched down to Lasthia-- but, when they arrived, they found no army. As they marched in, archers from the hills shot many Elurish and wiped out half the army. Though they overpowered Lasthia, they would risk no more death. They marched down to Der'Flod, the orcish. The orcs are strong and powerful. They both marched out for open-combat in a long, narrow field. The orcish destroyed the last of Elur who now dwell in the mountains, and the orcish after the battle have grown craze and hostility in their mins, anger stirring in their hearts. Lasthia rebuilt their kingdom and were the only ones who didn't get conquered or flee. Trelia returned five years after the war and all, but Der'Flod agreed to a treaty-- Lasthia would rule the lands. Cigam no longer recognize their old selves, they are now just ghouls. Elur was exploring in the high peak of the Yerg Skaeps when they found a new power-- magic. They now have found Magic which takes a long time to learn and is feared by many. Lasthia has large castles and kingdoms, and Trelia have the mystical forests. They are all now at peace, but there have been reports of Orc attacks. Who will you be? A hero? A pheasant? It's up to you to decide! -------------------- CHAPTER II - DAWN OF LIGHT After Lasthia was rebuilt, new Elves from Athillia came to Lasthia -- the High Elves. Though not the most ancient to Lasthia, they quickly build power by finding a source of energy -- the Nus'Llew, a shining pool lost in the mountains. Lasthia explores Noth and finds a lone mountains, Enol. Enol was a very high peak, but now pointy. It has a large, open crater at the top which, unknowingly was a volcano, ready to burst of lava. They build a small city, but the High Elves quickly sought ought the ready to burst lava and travelled to the roots of the mountains, abandoning their old home. Leaving it in ruin-looking structures, ghouls overtook the city. The High Elves arrived at Yerg Mountains and build a home. Though meaning not to, they accidentally made a beast, a wolf-creature which is now uncontrollably spreading. ----------------- CHAPTER III - AWAKENING OF THE ELEMENTALS Resting for ages, the Elementals have finally awoken by a mysterious vision to them, they saw fire and destruction. Lingering for no longer, they quickly jumped into action and have awoken. Waning of power, each of the elements crave for power. They will do what they can to win it, even if it means cataclysmic beast. Wiping out the ghouls, they have taken the old city of Cigam into their own hands. ----------------- CHAPTER IV - SNOGARD SENEKAWA The Elementals' vision came to life, though awaited for years, the cataclysm arrived. Enol had awoken, it's time had now come. What the elves thought to be a volcano, they had mistaken it's appearance. It was a large forge, constructing a large, demonic dragon with a disease gone wrong, it was meant to turn humans and elves into dragons, but instead it gave them a dragon form. Not humanoid, but the actual beast. Originally minions, some of the Nogardon may betray their original faction and seize control of the mind. In attempt to wipe out Nogardon, the Elves made Avians, the bird-men. The Avians wanted not to be just war machines, but they wanted to have a life of their own. Some may obey, some may not. But dragons are now flying all over Lasthia, attacking cities. In response of the elements, they made dragons of their own: the Ice elemental dragon (blue), hostile, the nature elemental dragon (green), friendly, and the wind elemental dragon (white), neutral.
CHAPTER V - The Mists of the Lost Legacy The lost line of Arcalos, now shrouded in mist. The two princes settled their own kingdom in Lasthia-- the kingdom of Vanrid. Vanrid was a large kingdom. They were friendly like the last kings of Arcalos. Though they renamed themselves, they dug a passage under the mountain. -------- LORE CHAPTER 1- MONSTERS UNLEASHED After the War of the Anchients, settlers from the East came and found Esceritha, a land of lumber. Many settlers came to settle here, and they very soon did. Though they found it not easy with a new creature's attack-- Tehgirves. Soon many of the settlers were scared away and did not return-- for a long time. The settlers who stayed got a disease Tehgirves gave them and became Goblins. A lot of Goblins wandered, even to other kingdoms. Soon knights from Arcalos came to wipe out the Tehgirves, and won. Soon Esceritha became a large, successful kingdom-- of Goblins. Goblins were transporting through Erif Ergof so they sealed the entrance off to only be opened by a full moon.
CHAPTER 2-MORE SETTLERS After being abandoned for ages, Lasthians had travelled south past the Vile Sands to find Esceritha. They established Roix, a small village. Though not all safe, they soon found their ancient neighbors, the Elves. With a friendly greeting, these elves weren't taller nor smaller than a regular human. With recent Goblin attacks, Roix built an army to fight them back. ------------ II. RULES - No metagaming - No powergaming - No OPing your character in the CS unless permitted - Put "[lolk]" in your CS if you read this - Ask before you kill someone else's character - May add more rules as continuing ------------ III. PLACES 1. Eragan Forest Thick woods, but not too tall trees. CITIES -Roix: A small city, with wooden frames on the houses and hay roofs. The palace is no bigger than the inn and the Guard Barracks are made of stone. It is located on a river's edge, just beside a small cliff.
II. Darkpine Forest Very tall spruce trees, mostly snowy. CITIES -Darkloom: A dark, stone city, which uses candles as light. The city is rather dirty and the Tehgirf disease is spreading. It is located on an island on a river's edge. It is a tall island, mainly on a hill. The palace is at the top.
-Ewhit: A goblin city, very small, though the houses are made of broken logs, tilted together, then covered with branches and leaves.
III. Ocelot Forest A large, hilly jungle CITIES Teslaun: A city built on a large, steep hill in the jungle. The palace is near the top of a tree, with a spiraling path going up to it. The buildings are of wood with vines as the windows.
IV. Yerg Mountains Large, tall mountains CITIES -Erif Egrof WEST: The west part of Erif, the east part is in Lasthia. The entrance to this city is beside a large pond which in-myth is home to a giant octopus, which is partly the reason this entrance is abandoned. Rather than that, the entrance is a tall stone door with inscriptions on the sides. To legend, the ancient elves sealed this door to only be opened by a full moon. If there are too many clouds in the sky blocking the moon, or there isn't a full moon, the gatekeeper will be awakened. The inside of this entrance has lots of pillars. Past that is a large cavern, lots of roof-to-floor connections from hardened lava. It is very dark, but there is a large, somewhat eerie-looking wall which has a mystical green glow sometimes. When it has a green glow, a creature awaits, the stone-lurker, a gigantic stone serpent, always hungering of fear. Past the gates is a labyrinth of traps and the screams of lost adventurers. Past that is a sealed door to the east part of Erif Ergof which can only be opened by a drop of blood.
V. Overall The Yerg mountains are far north of this land. Ocelot is south of it, but north of Darkthistle. Eragan is east of them all, but it surrounds the Vile Sands in Lasthia. --------------- IV. RACES -Jungle Elf: Living in the jungle, these elves age and look similar to High Elves. They can normally live up to 20,000 years.

CS Hugeboo322's CS Name: Suzanna Mey Age: 20 Race:human Faction:athillia Job:Bandit Appearance: A very tight, small outfit. Long waistlength red hair. "Perfect" rump. Regular womanly chest. Skinny, 5'4. Weapons: Her bosom, a knife. Inventory: Food, knife, shirt, blanket, water, kettle. Tinderbox. Personality: Not smart. Competative against women. Flirty. Ignorant. Stubborn.
Supermariomania's CS Name: Qier "Flamefeather" Linghun. However, he prefers to be called "Ember".
Age: Nineteen
Race: Avian - Elf / Nogadon - Good - Elf
Job: Mage / Mercenary
Faction: Nus'Llew Esu
Physical Appearance: Ember has his normal elf form, the normal size of an elf due to the two conflicting genes. He has complete heterochromia, having one red and one grey eye. His skin is very pale, since he can't go outside often for fear of being attacked. He's got thin, but strong muscle, since he still trains every day. His strange white hair, streaks of red down the back are often surprising to other people. He ways lightly, and is quite agile.
Ember's normal attire is a robe similar to that of a mage's robe, but lighter and more tightly tucked in, with additional padding. It's more suited to physical punishment while still keeping the magical properties.
His Avian form is not what you'd expect. While it has the usual beak and wings, they are largely formed of scales instead of feathers, the more dominant Nogadon genes taking over his form. He can force it to turn to a normal Avian form, with sleek black wings, night sky feathers and beak, but it takes a lot of effort for not a lot of purpose.
His dragon form is only rarely used, since he has a strong dislike of it. While it wields the usual power of a wind dragon, maybe slightly increased due to his heritage, the avian genes affect the coloration, making it have black scales instead of the usual grey. It's a large form, with powerful claws and teeth, but the same colored and still kindly eyes, if not a bit more slitted occasionally. He has some strange power, but he doesn't use it, and no one but his master knows it.
Armor Appearance: His armor is light plating, made from a strong but flexible metal. It's harder than some plate armor, but still flexible enough as leather. However, it doesn't really cover everywhere on his body, or it'd constrict movement. It's silver, with a gold rim, and several images of an angel with scaled wings and one red, evil eye, one blue.
Weapons(max. 4): Ember has twin swords, one Avian and one Nogadon. The Avian has an elegant feathered hilt, while the Nogadon has more of a golden design imprinted into it, and black flames. The Avian sword is white, the Nogadon black. He also has a small wand, made from a strange tree he found a long time ago, and a staff from the safe material. Each have an assortment of gems imprinted which continues to increase in amount.
Inventory(max.10): A number of pouches on his clothes and armor contain a variety of small projectiles, like darts, and a backpack stores valuable potions. He also has a tablet and chalk. Finally, he has a number of magical runes in a separate pouch to the potions.
Personality: Ember has a very reserved personality. He suppresses his immense hate for the High Elves who constantly try to push themselves above him, and tries to prove himself in a world where he is hated. He is constantly being used as a weapon for both sides, barely managing to resist powerful forces trying to dissect or use him, which does create a personality which is very cautious and quick to counter attack. He can occasionally be very aggressive, but his master is teaching him to control his emotions. He is often cynical and dark, but can become attached to people - even if he doesn't know it - and often finds it hard to resist helping people, even when he thinks he doesn't like the person.
Bio: Ember is an outcast, plain and simple. Reluctantly allowed into a High Elf town, a master of magic, a peaceful elder, barely managing to persuade them to let him take Ember under his wing (quite literally) and teach him the lore and magic of High Elves and Avians. He has also been meeting, in secret, a wind dragon named Scyaro, who has taught him the lore of his other heritage. He is currently working to improve his magical prowess, and takes odd combat jobs to keep a living. He's critically evaluated by a higher order to see if he's worth keeping alive. Even Ember himself doesn't know how he came into the world, and how such an "abomination" of species could survive...

Aegther I roll my eyes as I pick up the keys from the Jail guard, releasing the prisoners.
Ragard I go to the constable. "Further instructions?" (C)"Execute killers." "Wouldn't that be a bit extreme yet?" (C)"Do what I say." "Yes, sir." I go back in the dungeon and see the dead jail guard, and all the prisoners released. "WHO DID THIS?!"
Indy I point at Suzanna and Aegther. |
