The truth about free models is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with using them. Allow me to elaborate on my thoughts for you. Let us call free models the public domain, and non-free models "copyrighted or patented". Roblox kind of works like a small functioning society, everyone has their own role. In real life you have many different people who do many different things to help out in their community eg. (Doctors, construction workers, cooks).
I'll break down Roblox players into three different categories. The first category is the "Builder". The Builders role in Roblox is to create a better looking everything. The second category is the "Scripter". The Scripters role in all of this is to advanced the work of the Builders. I guess you could also call the Scripters the evolutionary's, and the Builders innovators. Finally you have the "Consumers" (a.k.a the "player") The Consumers role in Roblox is to give purpose to the creations of the Builders and Scripters.
When the Builders and Scripters put their work into the free domain it allows other people to take it and innovate it even more, with the end result being a better product. When the Builders and Scripters keep their work to themself's you restrict advancement in this virtual society to their own capability's (This is a serious problem occurring in real life with copyright laws).
If someone makes a game that is 100% free models, sure they are taking the ideas of many people, but they are also now creating something unique that is their own idea (I will admit that there is a lot of controversy to this). |

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

| If you were in a debate, and your response to the opponent was "no you're dumb" you wouldn't get very far. Tell me what you disagree with and I will try to rephrase it. |

@terman
actually, it is
the whole reason someone would use free models is to accomplish something that they can't or won't do themselves

@Wind
This was actually something I was thinking about bringing up. Just because they lack the means to create "model" doesn't mean they lack the ability to do something creative with it that no one else has. I do appreciate your comments though. |
