| The new ROBLOX feature "Dyanmic Lighting" is crashing my CPU (Central Processing Unit). I would like it removed, or I won't play ROBLOX again because my computer isn't the best, such as Alien Ware or anything, and it can't take stuff like that. |

They won't help you.
And if your PC Crashes under Dyanmic Lighting, then your Graphics card is a potato. I suggest a new windows 7/8 desktop computer, with 1 TB Hard Disk with at least 8GB ram and a decent HD Graphics card and monitor.
I have no lag with 10/10 graphics and dynamic lighting.
My specs are :
1TB Hard Drive
10 GB RAM HD 3.20GHz graphics card HD monitor
there are also bunch of other numbers you won't understand. |

None of these answers point to the fact that DYNAMIC LIGHTING is a completely useless concept.
it is too dark in the buildings. roblox wanted players with lower spec computers to be able to play. well it seems with DYNAMIC LIGHTING they have thrown that idea right out of the window. |

| no i actually think dynamic lighting looks cool because the game looks like we are looking inside a building in real life. it just looks so cool cause its like... lets say its at noght and we are walking down a street. we see the street-pole-lights like in a real city. |

Please, roblox does not need much to run. Exactly what do you mean by it "crashes", does it turn off or what? @jhend you don't need 8GB of ram to run the game. Also its not a 3.20 Graphics card, that is your processor. Stating an HD monitor of no kind nice desc. |

I can play games with dynamic lighting with my 1GB RAM netbook that only has 8GB space left.

We had some issues with this update where on some laptops for some reason ROBLOX is using CPU way more intensively than before, causing heating issues. This is *not* related to dynamic lighting. We're working on fixing it.
Also note that if a place does not use dynamic lighting, then it runs exactly as it ran before.
Steelersfan002, please clarify:
1. What exactly is the problem? Do you mean that ROBLOX is crashing, or does it consume more CPU power, or is it something else? 2. Is whatever you're seeing happening on Crossroads (http://www.roblox.com/Crossroads-place?id=1818) ? |

| Oh, and to clarify the 95% split. Based on our metrics, 95% of the graphics hardware that you guys have (actually it's almost 98%) supports dynamic lighting fully. If you're in the 2% bucket - this mostly means Intel Extreme Graphics or NVidia GeForce MX graphics cards - we run a simplified version where ambient is dynamically adjusted based on proximity of lights and shadows. It does not mean that place runs slowly or that the player crashes on places with lighting :) |

1. Get more RAM, 4 GB is recommended for gaming 2. Get better GPU, I bought a geforce gt 640 for just 4k php which is equivalent to around 100 usd. 3. Your CPU isn't the problem unless it's clocked at less than 2 ghz which sucks 4. Alienware is overpriced, unless they have gtx titans and core i7 extremes there 5. have a nice day |

| About the CPU, it's good if it's above 2 ghz and at least 2 cores. |
