| I can beat someone up with a cartridge. A disk would just get ruined. |

They actually last about the same if you take care of them.

Cartridge Yes they don't have as much space but think I belive 3DS uses a card system a relitive of tyhe cartridge and it has 8GB and even by todays standereds thats decent sorry for the spelling I'm 1/2 asleep

Err... Yes it would. The solder holding the storage to the mainboard of the device would surely loosen, resulting in it breaking.

But the consoles themselves would too?
Unless by die you mean not work permanently instead of temporarily, in which case I do not know.

offtopic, but PCs could actually survive EMPs because the metal encasing acts as a faraday cage

Cartridges. Discs can scratch, and cartridges are more strong and smaller.
