| All it does is color things within a set radius and angle. They shine through everything, regardless of obstacles. |

| A grid of six points with raycasts to modify brightness and radius will fix that. |

| Not to mention that the lights dim the further your camera gets from them. It's like fog. :/ |

The sun does cast shadows too. I suspect, however, that dynamic lighting in it's true sense is a bit difficult for an ipad to run.
Still, it looks amazing, and it's (basically) what we all want. Yes, it could be better, but it's beautiful even if it does just do a gradient sort of thing (Which is, to be honest, what light does, if you ignore shadows). |

| It's cool, but I see quite a few rendering glitches with it, which makes me feel it was shipped not finished. |

To be honest, the problem that makes them able to be seen through other parts makes it all pretty much useless. That just ruins everything. These lights would be awesome for lighting up houses, rooms, etc, but since it all goes through walls, the whole effect is ruined.

By carefully manipulating the range, it works fine. I honestly haven't had too many issues with it, and it looks amazing.
I do wish the shadows could be made darker, more prominent, as they were before, but I really do like this update.

| Using spot lights for static objects inside a building can kinda work around light going through parts. |

I've been using spotlights as street lamps attached to walls, and I not only get this rather serene and beautiful dusk feel, but also just makes the place feel more realistic (And the dark corners, well, a whole lot darker and depressing).
I think the main problem with this update is it's going to get overused. A lot. |

| I agree, it's still awesome. So many different effects and moods can now be achieved and it can only improve in the future. After I get my game design project done I'm going to have to do some fun stuff with this. c: |

| Its because lighting is based on a 4x4 grid. If the walls aren't thick, its going to leak through them. |

| ^Incorrect. I tried it with a 5 thick wall and it still went through no problem. |

| I'm guessing that, until they fix this, randomly generated lights are a bad idea... |

I don't really care about it getting smaller/dimmer as you walk away, or range/brick size restrictions...
I just want it so that it won't shine through bricks.

I updated my caves with this lighting and it improved its atmosphere greatly. It's amazing. (I had to make the roof thicker to stop the outsideambient from leaking in though.)
But I can't be updating my huge haunted house with lights if the light leaks through walls. I'd have to very finely tune each room's lights; instead of just placing one in there and having the whole room light up. |

| They should make it so it also goes through transparent parts, as that's how light works realistically. It travels through glass. Which is transparent. |

@People with walls
Use a spotlight with the angle specifically tuned. I just lit a whole fort that way, and it looks great. |
