I love the show.
I know the latest seasons were a little weak, but even so, for the most part the show is consistently great. It's great to have a protagonist that isn't in it to help others. |

I have REALLY, REALLY wanted to start this show, I just haven't had the time, and I need something to keep me occupied while I'm waiting for TWD to come back in October. So, with this show is it something you have to follow from Season 1, on? And is it something I can suggest for my father to get, or do I have to sneak it in somehow?
I don't know much about this show, but from what I do know, it sounds amazing. |

The show's seasons don't have an ongoing story per se, but it is important to watch, from the beginning to watch how Dexter evolves, from the clever monster he is, to the family man of the later seasons. Each season has the main killer that Dexter pursues, out of obsession, and there are a few others in between episodes.
And, I wouldn't recommend watching it, with your parents, unless your cool, with ... scenes. Not that they bother me, but it can be awkward, as my mother loves the show, as well, and tends to watch it, with me. |

@Cookie
Highly recommend the show, probably one of the best shows on TV. I'd watch it from the beginning as Ultracrash said because you need to watch how Dexter changes, he goes from an awkward "trying to pretend to be happy guy" to a distressed family man juggling multiple things at once including murdering people.
Season 4 is the most intense season. But yeah, really watch it from the beginning. |

Ultra- Oh. Scenes? Yeah. I'm gonna have to find some way to sneak it in. But it does sound interesting, so I'm going to have to try to do that.
Joe- "he goes from an awkward "trying to pretend to be happy guy" to a distressed family man juggling multiple things at once including murdering people."
Haha, that made me laugh.
"Season 4 is the most intense season. But yeah, really watch it from the beginning."

Prom- No I think I remember him, and he was a total ass.
