And much more, but we will finish the main guns first.

There will be attachments, so once you make your gun you make some copies and add attachments
Red dot
Holo scope
ACOG Scope
Silencer
Grip
Rapid fire (Some Guns)

Gun Script - The guns move with the cursor, once shot the gun moves back, recoils abit (Depending on the gun) The scopes will make the Cursor, smaller (Meaning more accurate)
Grip will reduce recoil.
Rapid fire will increase the shot rate, but decrease the accuracy, range.

General Scripting
In the maps there will be windows, that can be broken (being shot at)
A run script, The gun moves sideways once you start running, it starts bouncing abit.
You can bend down.
An Anti Exploit script.
Once you enter a Gui appears, that gives you an option to make your own class, spectate.
Also we might add in perks.
So now lets discuss uniform if you choose a sniper, you get a ghillie suit, if you choose a sub machine gun you get a look that makes you look light on your feet.

MAPS-
(NOTE; MAPS WILL BE A JOINT OPERATION BETWEEN MAP DEPARMENT AND GUN DEPARTMENT, to speed up time.)

An airfield
A missile launch field
A town that has been nuked.
abounded carnival
A mall
A mansion
A bridge

(NOTE; If we decide to add in cars, tanks then all these maps will change)

More decided later

Features
Levels in order to unlock a gun
Perks like light weight , things like that
More will be decided
And, you won't be aloud to wear your own hats, due to some glitch it causes.

Cars if added
When a certain key is press your, body will enter the tank or go transparent, like Need4speed it changes your camera position to show the full tank, car. If you in a tank the shooting place will follow your cursor, for a car you need someone with you.

You mean a new Core Gamemode with a high-tech but no laggy Game Engine?
New guns that we make ourselves, script ourselves and make sure they work?
Inventing new map ideas, gamemodes, scripts, utils, achievements, ....?
Making new dimensions in map that are nice, but don't break the gameplay?

No, got no idea what's original about it all.

I don't think they have rotating maps and (new) gamemodes ...
And those are more surviving zombies, gathering stuff, ...
The project we are working on, all gamemodes got most of the times 2/4 teams.
(Or none when something like the last man standing wins etc)

It's not really a FPS (and we're deciding if TPS is allowed also) like you know.
The current FPS' just makes you spawn in a running game, start shooting people.
Our system is more like rounds, but a round can be totally different from the previous.
Rounds are random chosen from the avaible rounds (enough players? maps good?)
One gamemode you'll have 2 teams, the other gamemode none or even 4 teams.
If you play a lot you can earn stuff like Night Vision.
Those will be only be able to get used in certain maps in certain gamemodes.
(Night vision technically every gamemode, every map where it's day)

How would you make a FPS game different from the others?
What does the other games not have?
-Vehicles
-Airstrikes
-Ground support by bots
-An option to crouch (Some games does have this option)
-An option to prone
-Destructible buildings
-A special way of raycasting (Not straight lines but at further distances the bullet impact location will lower)

If we do have one of these things, it's not a "Standard" Roblox FPS game anymore, right?

No. These are all standardised and staples of a standard ROBLOX FPS game.

Base Wars has vehicles. Most games have airstrike killstreaks. My game have prone & destructible buildings & specular-reflective raycasting.

You can't try to stay away from the 'FPS' genre really, unless you take out the whole guns thing and say, add a roleplaying element to it.

What I'm saying is, you guys shouldn't try to make it more 'original' as you guys can't stray away from the staples of the FPS genre and that, instead, you guys should more of 'evolve' the genre and refine it, instead of claiming it to be completely original.

True, we sort of take over this genre, but we mix it with others and add our own stuff.
For scripters: A lot is Object-Orientated, like Gamemodes:AddGamemode(Mode)
For builders: We try to not just create standard maps. We'll add stuff like ziplines.
(Ziplines can be tested in my active place, when you're alone a map with it spawns)
For players: Well it's more interactive and it's something new. Not all standard stuff

It's almost impossible to make something (completely) original. (But we can try)
We are refining it, removing some elements and instead of those removed add some.

Luckily I can create lua classes, make a hole map with killing sea, working ziplines (with effects), ... in a less-than-200-lines script in less than an hour.
Free modelling huh?

No offense, but I find your attitude quite cocky. You say on your blurb you are one of the best scripters on roblox, brag about writing 200 lines of code in 1 hour (which many people can actually do if they focus), and in your game you say you are making some of the most complicated scripts ever.

Not at all. Guns are not complicated at all compared to advanced NPCs that have animations, look nice, and don't lag.

First: If people say I am, I can't say they arn't right, right?
Second: Writing 200 lines an hour is easy, but writing difficult then ... a bit less
Third: Funny you mention that AI, I made a bot that follows people that respawn.
They display text, don't walk against you, are configurable, ...
(I use it in Script Builder for my arena or for welcoming people)

Don't you guys realize, we've got just 1% done at all, many changes are possible. So don't think this is gonna be like all the other games you can imagine. And also, 200 lines of programming is 1/5 of an pretty big admin script and the basis of a admin script are around 200 lines the rest is just a bunch of commands.
