You start off with either dual blades or a sword and shield. By now you'll wonder, "How do I get a better sword?" On each floor there will be a sword crafter (Or as I like to call it, the "Sword Dealer" XD). They will be next to a bench with different colored Cerulian Vengeances. You click on the question mark above their heads, and then the options will come up at the bottom, "Craft Weapons" or "Goodbye." Obviously, we will go with "Craft Weapons." Now we will see a black screen pop up showing the different swords or items you can create. The good ones you can find on the first floor need bore hides and tusks, which can be found through killing bores, fought at any level. It may take some time though, as killing a Bore won't ALWAYS get you the materials. Now you'll need some iron for these weapons, as on the first floor, all weapons are iron. You get iron in the first dungeon. The regular monsters, which should be fought solo at around level 5, you can find around each corner in the dungeon happen to give you iron MOST of the time when you kill them. Now, once you get the amount needed, as it would have told you when you opened up the merchants selections, you go back and click on it again. On the bottom right of the black pop-up, which will appear, a button will be present saying "Craft." If you click that, you will receive the weapon you had clicked on to craft.
On the second level, it is all Alloy and ox materials. -NOTE: THERE IS AN OPTION ON CREATING ALLOY, WHICH IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET ALLOY, AND TO GET IT YOU NEED IRON AND BRONZE. You will need Ox hide's, which you can acquire by killing the Oxen, which should be fought upon reaching level 9, around the city on floor 2. As all enemies, it doesn't ALWAYS drop what you want. Now to get bronze you need you'll have to venture into the second dungeon, which should be taken on solo at around level 11. Now once you get the needed bronze, which is REALLY hard to get as it is hard for the eagle monsters to drop them, you will need more iron from the first floor dungeon crawlers. Once you combine the Bronze and Iron for the Alloy, the amount you need of course, and use craft, as you did in the previous floor, and make your new weapon.
Claymore's are good for speed, swords are good if you're looking for a shield to add, and great swords are single swords with the largest damage, but least protection and speed.
I hope this helped, I might tweek this guide a bit. ||D |
