Captains Log.

Date: 9/26/3023

It was just a normal day inside the Anuk (En-Ook) Orbital Space station. Everything went smoothly, and there was no attack that day...That could be seen. Suddenly, all the normalities are gone, and all main power systems inside all 5 sectors go out. The only thing that is still running is the life support systems, which are running on auxiliary power from the engineering sector and will run out of power in 3 weeks. Earth is over 1,000,000 lightyears away from Anuk and will take a month to reach the station, so getting specially trained engineers are not an option. You must rely on your intelligence, wits, limited supplies, and weaponry to find out what caused such a catastrophic power failure and stop it from harming anything else, or escape the station before you run out of power. Just remember, you are extremely vulnerable to attacks due to the stations weapons systems are down and scavengers will try to find items to use.



TL;DR: An orbital space station on the orbit of the planet Anuk (En-Ook) has lost its power and communications after a catastrophic systems failure. The life support is the only system still online in some sectors. You must figure out a way to get the power back online, and figure out what caused the system failure.


~={Weapons}=~
Hard-Light Weapons (Military Issued)

HL P86 - A standard issue Pistol. Highly effective, and can break through most armor.

HL S59 - An Armory found SMG, batteries for the reactor are somewhat abundant.

HL A54 - A standard issue Assault Rifle, powered by a HL reactor creating explosive rounds.

HL R12 - An Armory found rifle, hard to find reactor batteries for, and has a large clip, but has a Bolt style action.

Laser Weapons (Guard Issued)

L P98 - A small effective pistol that can fire through civilian-issued clothing.

There are more weapons, but I will not be saying what they are to keep them a surprise and rare.

~={Tools}=~
Tacpad - A tactical pad that can be traced back to the person issued to. This is usually used to get into areas of importance, but can be used to power small small areas of the ship, if need be, though it will use a lot of the Tacpad’s charge, so use this wisely.

Torch - Typically used by guards to break into places when they can’t access it with a Tacpad, though it is available for use by anybody.

Flashlight - 2 flashlights are assigned to everybody on the station. One is to always be carried with them, the other is to remain on their nightstand unless needed for emergency use.

Fusion Cutter - This tool is exclusive to engineers, and it can be used to fix areas of importance. This tool will help in Sector B.

Electronic Repair Kit - This tool is exclusive to Pilots, Gunners, and Engineers. It can be used to fix wiring inside electronics, and contains two extra batteries to power a console.

There are more tools, though I will not state them to keep them a surprise, and rare.

~={Jobs}=~
Unemployed - You have no job on the station, and only have access to Sector A3.

Military - You have access to every sector on the station, along with with the armory, and command bridge. Military Personnel are found in nearly every sector, but are limited to usually 2-3 per sector. Standard Issue is a HL P86 Pistol and HL A54, with 2 extra clips for each, and a Tacpad.

Guard - You have access to every sector, including the command bridge. You don’t have access to the armory. Usually found standing outside doors, acting as a bouncer of sorts. Standard Issue is a L P98, and a Tacpad.
Pilot - You have access to the Command Bridge, the barracks in the Command sector, and any civilian sector. Pilot standard issue is an electronic repair kit, and a Tacpad.

Gunner - You have access to the Command Bridge, the barracks in the Command sector, and any civilian sector. Standard issue is an electronic repair kit, and a Tacpad.

Engineer - You have access to the Sector E, and any civilian sector. Standard issue is a fusion cutter, electronic repair kit, and a Tacpad.

Officers - There are a total of 10 officers on the station. Most of their jobs are classified, but the gist of it is that they run the ship. Weapons they carry are classified, and not available inside the armory.

~={Sector}=~
A - Main civilian sector. This is where most people will be, unless they have access to go anywhere else. It is the highest sector inside the ship. There is also a large cargo bay inside bisector 2.

B - This is where the armory is, though there are risks in this sector just to get to the armory. First of all, half the sector has been blown up due to an attack a week prior to this power failure. Temporary airlocks have been placed, but you need a space suit with magnetic boots to be able to pass through this area alive.

C - This is the command barracks. Anybody that works inside the Command Bridge has their room inside this sector. It is also the middle sector, and has the second most shielding.

D - Hangers. This is where all the hangers on the ship are. Any small spacecraft, and an occasional freighter are in this area.

E - Engineering sector. This is where all important systems are, such as the life support, engine cooling tanks, and other items.

Command Bridge - This is where most pilots, gunners, guards, and officers will be. It is the highest point of the ship, and the most shielded.

1) Story mode! Do not use asterisks to simulate an action! Forum role-playing is different than role-playing inside a game. Do this “I walk into the cargo bay and says “Hello” to the guard.” instead of *walks into the cargo bay* Hi guard *Walks out*
2) No god moding. This makes everybody mad, and it’s pretty safe to say you wont survive multiple rounds to the head.
3) The only admin is me, unless I state otherwise.
4) No romance is allowed, since there is no point I see in this thread.
5) Violence is allowed, but to an extent. Don’t be extremely gory, but give some detail. Keep it between PG and PG-13 would be a general rule of thumb.
6) You can kill, but only if it’s okay with the person you’re trying to kill.
6 Corollary) No one-hit kills.
7) When you enter the cargo bay or armory, state when you’re searching something. I will say what you find to keep stuff rare.
8) All jobs can be taken by anybody, except for Officers. Officers are admins only.
9) "It's not in the rules!" isn't an excuse. I can add rules to this list on a moments notice.
10) Please, no more than 3 characters.
11) When asking a question, or anything else out of character, either put "OoC:", "(Insert statement here)," or (OoC: Insert Statement Here)."

(OoC: Sorry about the long, tedious read, but I felt it was necessary. This is my first thread and post in this forum for a very long time. Also, there are most likely plot gaps in this, but I'm extremely tired, and I will fix and repost this thread if I find an extremely large plot gap.)

Physical Appearance: Derek has dark, brown eyes with a usually stern look on his face. He has a small tan. He is 6'2", at 180 lbs, but skinny and fairly muscular, though his uniform makes him look bulkier than he actually is.
Personality: Usually nice unless extremely provoked. He is almost always straight forward unless he has a reason not to be.

Clothing: Just the normal uniform he must wear, when he's not on duty, he usually wears normal cloths, prefers to wear hoodies for no particular reason, just fond of them. Other clothing he wears are usually T-Shirts and some pair of jeans.

Physical Appearance: Extremely dark brown eyes, to the point of where you would think they were black, usually keeps a straight face on him, doesn't really smile and even if he does, it probably won't be a real one. His skin is tan with yellow undertone. He is 6'1", hasn't measured how much he weighed in years, not that skinny but not that fat, doesn't really have that much muscles but can defend himself in times of need.

Personality: He's blunt, too honest for his own good, but if it's time to get serious, he will keep a secret, no matter what it costs even his life, he is an enigma, not many people can really understand him, to the others, he is just a weird person, to the people who know him, he is much more, he also has a very dry sense of humor. Very calm but would not hesitate to break a bone or two when he must.

Derek wakes up when the lights go out in his room. "What that heck?!" He grabs his comm badge and presses a button on it. "Officer Knight to engineering" He waits a minute for a response, but doesn't get one. "What the heII is going on?!" He pries his door open and notices the lights are out in the hallway also.
