I came up with the new version at school.
'The Texas Grave Robbers'
The film would circle around the Old Man and Leatherface, coming to terms with the death of the Hitchhiker and the escape of sally hardesty.
In the original, the Old Man says he takes no pleasure in killing. And Leatherface only killed in terms of protecting the house and self defense. The Hitchhiker was the one influencing the killing.
So after he dies, the two no longer have a thirst to kill. However they do have habits that needed to be quenched, so the Old Man would buy a cemetery. After funerals, Leatherface would dig up the graves, steal the bodies, and cover the plots.
This way they had meat for their food, skin for LF's masks, and bone for the furniture.
Unfortunately grandpa dies shortly after the end of the original, supposedly "from the excitement".
And the best part - the film takes place around 1976 and Leatherface wears skin masks made from the Hitchhiker and Grandpa as a way to preserve their memories.
Yeah. |

I can just picture it so vividly, and its aggravating because I cant do anything about it.
I can see Leatherface walk towards a freshly covered grave, carrying a shovel and radio.
I can picture the camera filming at ground level, but far enough so we can see all of what's going on and all of LF.
I can picture him setting the radio down and turning on.
I can picture "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" playing on it, as LF begins to dig the grave up.
The sky a misty grey, droplets of rain slowly pouring.
And I cant do anything about it except write it and forget the image as time goes on. |

Just not the same. Its like an itch in my brain and I cant scratch it without correctly outputting the creativity overload
If that makes any damn sense at all |

| I've got you, Leslie. My solution for stuff like that is to get an art form; Become a master of sketching, painting, music, whatever. Then, recreate the feel of it as closely as possible. If you became a musician and made a song or whatever based off this, it'd be amazing. |

Brilliant, mate.
Direct, and write the actual sequel to the original film please. I'll wait twenty years if I have too. |
