Ok, I made a chain piece by CFraming and then scaling it. I welded all the pieces together through the top piece, named Base. It holds together when set to unAnchored, however, it can't go connected to other Chain pieces.
I tried connecting them in a series of links, which I had no problem just moving them into. When the game loads, they either just fall of, or stay on, but fall off when something touches them.
Is there anything I can use/do to prevent this from happening?
I put this in Scripting Helpers because I'll probably get more useful and timely answers here, and just in case I needed to add a script to the models. |

I'm not quite sure of your process, so I'm going to explain the normal Welding procedure.
1. New Weld 2. Set the weld's part properties 3. Set the welded parts' CFrames
You can save the parts' CFrames before welding them (a variable that holds them), because welding two parts together without setting their CFrames afterward just repositions the smaller part's CFrame to the bigger part's. |

| The welding is fine, the issue is when I try to make a chain from individual links, they just fall off of eachother. Quite Literally. |

| Are they supposed to actually move around fluidly, like a rope? Because I wouldn't rely on Roblox's physics engine for such things. |

| So you welded the parts of each individual link together to form a single link in a chain, correct? *just making sure |

Welding is not the issue.
Or maybe it is?
The model doesn't come apart, it's when multiple of them are linked that the models don't stay where they should. Like they are clipping through... |

Welding is the problem. If you weld bricks wrong they don't stay where they should and go into each other and stuff, remove any welds you have right now and try my plugin, Im not promising it will fix it but mine always works for me. |

| The bricks in each model don't move out of place, but the models themselves do. |

Ok. I created a chain link....a single loop of bricks....using CFraming. I then welded the pieces together, and they stayed together. I named it 'ChainLink'.
Then I copied the 'ChainLink' and made several of them inside of eachother...just like a real chain.
When I start the game, the individual 'ChainLink's fall through eachother, like they are clipping through.
That help any? |

Your welds broke the second I inserted it. I used my plugin to weld each chain and it worked fine. https://twitter.com/CaptainSandbox/status/329710175671959552/photo/1 (Studio crashed because of other things in that place btw not your chain or my plugin)

| So they function somewhat similar to a real chain, but they won't clip off of eachother now? |
