| How is it a petty question? I'm just asking. It's not like I'm not gonna ask my parents to buy it for me. |

Stick with the 4th gen
The iPad mini sucks. it's just an iPad cut in half

The real question is:
Should I get a bigger, inferior and more expensive version of the 4th gen apple product I already have...or do I be a reasonable human being? |

if you're just getting it for music go onto amazon/ebay to try to get an old classic 80 gigs of memory and a 24 hour battery, after six years of ownership |

If you want something for playing roblox on the go, get those nice small PC tablets. I forgot they existed, so get one of those. An ipad mini is, what? $650? I think the cheapest tablet for PC is somewhere in 300-200 dollar range. The good thing about PC's is you can open it up, and replace everything inside of it.

"1 hour battery life"
Not if you keep it plugged in, like I do.
I don't have one, but that's how I play all my games.

| If you're going to get an iPad, make it the fourth generation one. Mini one is basically made for being portable. which would be helpful when packing. Then, it's also there for people who don't like the huge size as well. |

| A PC won't be cheaper. I'm a geek I'd get like an i7 with 10GB of RAM with top of the line NVIDIA GPU cards and so much more in it. Hence rounding out to like $1300. I don't want an iPod Touch 5th Gen because even if I get an iPad Mini, I'll still keep my iPod for Music and stuff like that. |

Wouldn't get either of the devices. I would instead buy the Nexus 7. The constant messages coming up on my iPod Touch drives me insane. Messages like "charging is not supported with this accessory" means that when I have left it on charge overnight it has charged by only 4%. So it therefore goes flat after just 10mins of form time at school. Also it lags when using the keyboard, the speakers are no good, and the FaceTime camera is useless in low lighted areas. With the iPad mini, the back is just going to get scuffed and with the mirror finish that apple has done to the sides, dust is just going to ruin apples time in making it look good. |

| Anything I want to use the iPad for won't need an A6X an A5 would work fine. So since the iPad Mini is cheaper that the iPad 2. I think that if I were to get one, the iPad mini would work. |
