ROBLOX has gone very bad with listening to their community. I'll give a few examples. When they took a vote for the 3.0 bodies, almost everyone said NO. But the admins still would add those things anyway. Usually when I see a player who makes a well-thought out idea to make ROBLOX better, the post gets deleted or flamed by a moderator.
Well, maybe if the community was better, ROBLOX would listen to them. The community, not to mention is terrible. I am prepared for this post to be deleted anyways so.... |

Most games I know listen to there community. Let's take an example. MINECRAFT. The creators LISTEN because the community is amazing. |

Group vaults, trade systems, official groups, material bricks; all examples of the ROBLOX company listening to their members.
Now, where was that fly at...

Err, ROBLOX does listen to its community. They just don't speak much. |

Well, the replies that get sent to me whenever I e-mail them prove that they don't care about their community.
They always seem to be either very distant or just an automated response. |

Icy, of course it would feel distant. Some people who read Info@ROBLOX.com do that as their whole job. Imagine if your whole job was reading emails and trying to maintain a calm composure to even the stupidest of emails. Naturally, you would become aloof.

@jacob
That isn't exactly a hard job; it is just repetitive. And to me, it seems as if there actually isn't anyone there; it's just an automated response.
Just because a job is repetitive, that doesn't give them an excuse to do it very poorly. |

Of course it's not a "hard" job, just one that becomes annoying after a time of doing it. There is very little opportunity to learn or experience new things, and it becomes very boring.
Every time I have sent an email to info@, there is a distant-seeming reply, but it is undoubtedly a person.
If it was an automated response to every problem, don't you think that it would be around-the clock responses, and that everything would get answered almost instantly? Robots and computers can run through basic processes much quicker than a human can, and it's generally more accurate as well. If it was an automated response, emails would be replied to instantly to almost instantly, depending on the backlog. Instead? You have to wait up to 2 days some times.
Unless there were tens of thousands of emails flying through every minute, a good computer wouldn't need to spend 2 days to send a response.

True, true.
But I don't see why they have to be so distant then towards their community in the first place. |

Again, because it is an extremely repetitive and annoying job. It's like working in fast food as a cashier, or the internet service people you call to troubleshoot problems. The only difference is that the ROBLOX employees have to type, instead of speak into a mic.
