The new ROBLOX upgrades have made exploiting easier than ever. The server-client communication is awful and the client can change values, and change itself.
To ROBLOX Engineers: The client variables can be changed, and the server will not see it. The client will still believe the values are changed, so the game is completely separated. Ex: If I change my money to 9999 the but I had 1234, the server will see 1234. If I use a local GUI to purchase something, my GUI will think I have 9999. If I make my client send how much I have to the server, as an advanced check, my client will send 9999.
So, exploiting is just too easy now. Every kid can download Cheat Engine and be on their way. Plus, they'll get a free "Ask" toolbar while they're at it.
Engineers, just blacklist Cheat Engine. I made a program in C++ that can Blacklist programs. And I'm 16. It is NOT hard to do. Please do this, because everyone is getting sick of it.

| Maybe a form of security that doesn't allow EVERYTHING to edit it. |

Well, seeing as a fellow 16yr old can do it, I don't see why it would be so difficult. Could probably help to send them the code to analyze... but there is this little bit... Is C++ what they actually use to run the games and such? There are -or so I have heard- other coding languages that can accomplish it.
Granted, I am pretty much a complete novice at C++ coding as far as information goes; I just use it to play around with and make little Q&A programs, Count up/down programs, or that sort of thing just for kicks.
Bleh, back on topic. If they can integrate it into their system without making another blasted HUD update or breaking something, and it fully blocks the use of those systems, I'm all for it.

| If they used other programs, blacklist them as well, as he said, it isn't that hard. |

The thing is, yes, there are other programs.
But, it's different. There are 2 cases. I'll use ROBLOXians as an example.
When you ban a user for hacking, they just make a new account. BUT Ban a PROGRAM for being used hacking, and they can never use that program. Shortly, there will be none left.
See the idea? It's quicker. |

| Lol trust me, you will still play ROBLOX and they will still make money, glad no one happens to realize this before a technical issue related thread is made. |

The problem with blacklisting programs is that they would have to breach a law or copyright (not sure which one) in order to access what's running on your computer, I believe. They don't have permission to mess with your programs.
And that's fine, and all, but I still want to go kill a dragon. |

@Panter: While it is true most of us will still use ROBLOX, there is no reason for our handiwork to be ruined by people using C++. Based on this thread, blacklisting entire programs is possible. Being that is it possible, and able to be done through C++, then if it causes no issues with programs not blacklisted, it should be integrated into the system to get rid of the scum who have to use an external program to make themselves feel even the slightest bit superior.

more or less the chances are they're hacking programs, I think ROBLOX would've blacklisted them if they could, most hacking programs have a bypass to stuff, it's like trying to break a shield with a knife you'll struggle way too much. |

@Xz; is that so? Well, we may just have to write letters to our congressmen about allowing online gaming corporations to access and blacklist certain programs.

@XZ again; But, I have this inquiry... If they was to, say, put in their terms of use and such, a little note about it, wouldn't that authorize their doing so?

@ jacob726
Putting it in the terms of use might be good. The problem is that a program isn't allowed to access anything on your computer without your permission. By agreeing to allow it, it might be sufficient.
And that's fine, and all, but I still want to go kill a dragon. |

| Honestly there are more kids to come. They will enjoy the game how it is. There are PLENTY of none hacked servers out there. And only FEW are experts at CE its self... |

There we go, then. Something along the lines of "Games may automatically access your computer and prevent blacklisted programs from being used" or something...
Again, as long as it doesn't cause any major server issues -such as if it crashes the client, preventing it from crashing the entire server- then I am all for it.
