To give you an idea, it's a top-down 2D shooter, specifically an Asteroids-like. The thing you shoot with does not shoot slow objects like in Asteroids. It shoots like a real-life laser would. It's not set in space.
I wanted to get it done by the end of the year. I'm not sure if I can do that.
I'm here to get suggestions from you guys, since I'm sure you'll be helpful.
Based on what little information you have, what would you like to see added to this game? |

well
I personally hate 2d games. When you get more experienced you should make a 3d version |

I can't think of one, really.
I will tell you the setting though.
You play as a tiny robot that was made to improve the quality of tea. By shooting sugar granules, and busting tea leaves, you do this, and gain a score. The game's levels will be limited by time. It's not long before mysterious, malicious robots appear, and you have to fight to preserve your own function. |

Depends on the sort of combat system you plan to offer players. Will they just be sitting there clicking a button repeatedly for the same results every time ? -Do not summon me again!- |

Think of it as "arcade-y".
Big, flashy. Positive.
AWESOME!!!
GRRREEEAAAT!!!
EX-CEL-LENT!!!
FINE SHOW, GOOD SIR.
OR MISS.
I DON'T KNOW YOUR GENDER!!!
It might even include elements from Pac-Man, specifically, the colour-coded AI with their own unique behaviour. |

You can't really selling the game for me. All I can expect with this game (from what I'm hearing) is pointing to shoot at an object that follows you mindlessly with the same type of enemy AI constantly. Shooting also is the exact same, with no real different types of fire.
Consider some powerup's in the game if haven't along with different AI that responds to different type of player fire/movement. -Do not summon me again!- |

Well, to be honest, this is really the first game I've really begun developing.
There's no game design document.
There's no budget.
There's no schedule.
As a result, it's largely undeveloped.
I was hoping for some inspiration from you guys so that I could finish the prototype, and have some proper footing to continue on. |

Alrighty then. Its best you start writing up some design notes for the game, talk briefly about features along with story/purpose of the game. Also, if you wish to develop the game elsewhere besides Roblox, then there is free software available to you. One that I know of it's Construct 2 (unless you want full version), which seems ok though I've barely used it myself. -Do not summon me again!- |

To refer to the latter part of your statement: You don't have to worry about that with me. I'm using C++ and a neat library called "SFML" to code it myself. Might be a bit of a productivity bottleneck, but I don't think I'd feel comfortable doing it any other way.
For the first part: I should do that more often. |

I might consider it, Problem. However, there might be some issues regarding copyright, so that could be a bit sketchy.
I'd like to see what you can do though. |
