Before you go to the wiki, I suggest learning a little about basic scripting. Going back to when I first started, the wiki was a vast and intimidating store of knowledge beyond comprehension.
Open 'Build' or 'Studio', pick a part with a script, say a kill brick, and try to take it apart. Fiddle with it; see if you can make a healing pad, or a part that just damages you. See if you can change the pad's color, or size, or other things. When you think you're ready, and you know some basics about functions, events, etc. then I suggest the wiki. |

I don't know where everyone gets this misconception that the wiki is a bad place to start. The wiki has fantastic tutorials for the beginner - if you know where to look.
