STORY

"In this world, we live carefree lives.
We carry about our business during the day, always being ourselves, happy, dutiful, and full of life.

However, when the night comes; we are forced indoors.
Forced to hide from our own lands, due to a mysterious blue fog that rolls in during the night.
Anyone brave enough, or foolish enough to step outside, runs the risk of never being seen again.

We believe that our young Empress has been the victim of a terrible tragedy, as she would never allow such a thing to befall our home.

This fog brings creatures of hell into our world; creatures that have never been seen by the eyes of this world's inhabitants.

We've sent out many of our messengers to the palace of the Empress.
But none have returned.

We could really use some help right about now...The kind that carries a sword."

Writing in an old journal, found in a burned out village.

RULES:

#1: What I say goes. No arguments.

#2: Listen to Admins. They have just as much say as I do. Rule 1 applies to them.

#3: If I am gone, the word of an Admin is law. See rule 2.

#4: Yes, this is a Fantasy RP, so all characters must be fantasy based.

#5: Admins may accept or decline characters if they so please. Unless I say otherwise.

#6: If a troll posts, ignore them.

#7: You are to follow the story. There is to be no: "I walk over to the shop and ask "Oh, how much is this hat?!" Period.

#8: Posts should NOT be only one sentence long. At ALL.

#9: Future rules can, and most likely will be added. So, no "It's not in the rules!".
____________________________________________________________________

ADMINS:

#1: The13thHippie

#2: Akkure

#3: Volexon.

Admins can, and might be added later on, if I and the admins see fit.

[Akkure's Character:

Aisri Imui: A dark skinned wild elf, accused of murder.
She is a Huntress with the ability to use magic, forming the magic into a spear, which has great speed, and force.
She wears an outfit of fur cloths that doesn't cover much, and has long black hair.
Aisri uses claw based weapons and basic martial arts, and can empower her claws with magic.]
She is a Red Innate.
____________________________________________________________________

RACES:

[Please note: This is only a list of Playable Races. Not a full list of Races.]

Humans:

Must I say anything? It's a Human, you get the basic idea.

Elves:

Elves are a race of pointy-eared people, whom are highly in-tuned with magic, and have a strong bond with nature.
They have perfected magic to a form of art, and are excellent hunters and trackers.

Gnomes:

Gnomes are short little people with annoying personalities.
They are highly magical, and are always inventing new alchemical things, such as flaming potions, and the like.
They are rather good at fixing things as well.

Iniss:

A small race, much shorter than Humans, whom live for only a single year.
In only half a year, an Iniss will already have grown up.
Although they have such short life spans, they are happy with how their lives turn out, and love to help others.
They make excellent healers.

Horcs:

Horcs are half Human, and half Orc.
They gain the strength of Orcs yet also gain the curiosity of Humans, and the ambition of both.
In short, Horcs are incredibly stubborn and ambitious.

Pardus:

A race of Anthromorphic Leopards, whom are native to rainforests and savannahs.
The Pardus are often "aggressive" and aren't too fond of making friends, yet they are still a capable race, whom live for approximately five-hundred years.
[Please note: Due to the Pardus existing, no regular Leopards or "Big Cats" exist in this world.]

Doragon:

A race of centaur-like people, with the difference being; they're dragons, and not horses.
The Doragon have scaly human-like torsos, dragonlike arms, and a quadrupedal lower body of a dragon.
They also sport wings and dragon heads, as well as dragonlike arrogance.
____________________________________________________________________

- Berzerker: Heavy armor, massive weapons [alternatively, they may use dual-wielding, but without grace.] , dodging is for sissies. Unleashes a flurry of attacks.

- Brawler: Devastating fist attacks, light to medium armor. Ungraceful.

- Monk: No Armor, with graceful fist attacks. They may also use exotic weapons [Kama, Katana, Kusurigama, Bo Staff, Khopesh, ect.]

- Stinger: Light armor. Incredible speed, but not much strength. Small-medium weapons

- Dual Wielder: Dual wields whatever one-handed weapon they want. Light armor. Graceful.

Hunter - Archery, traps, light armor!

- Ranger: Employs bows, aswell as various medium to large melee weapons. More in tune with nature. No traps.

- Feral Hunter: Uses small weapons and stealth. At home in nature.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

SPECIAL POWERS.

[Permission is needed for these POWERS.]

Whisper:

A person capable of phasing through objects as a form of "teleportation".
If a Whisper is being chased, they can phase through a tree, and come out of the tree directly behind their pursuer.
Whispers can only go a certain distance with their phasing however, and can not directly teleport.
They can only appear somewhere else, by going through an object that is big enough to completely conceal them.

Stalker:

The Stalker is a person capable of tracking anyone they set their mind to tracking. Period.
Their ability to track goes so far beyond the realm of natural, that it's nearly supernatural.
Simply by putting their ear to a footprint, they could tell where their prey was heading, what the topic of conversation was, what they ate, what they looked like, who was carrying the damsel in distress, etc, etc.
____________________________________________________________________

INNATE SYSTEM

The Innate System is the battle system of this Roleplay.

A character's innate is represented by a color.

A color beats another color type, and it goes in a circle, back to the other color.

An Innate 95% of the time, matches a character's personality, and their element.

The colors are:

Red - The element color associated with Fire and Strength

Blue - The element color associated with Water and Stamina

Green - The element color associated with Air and Nature

Yellow - The element color associated with Earth and Electricity

Black - The element color associated with Shadow and Destruction

White - The element color associated with Light and Life

The elements also exist in opposition to one another:

Example:

Red > Blue > Green > Yellow > Red

White > Black > White

Bright colors, such as Yellow and Red, oppose Bright Colors, while Black and White, monochrome colors, oppose each other.

White and Black beat each other, and are stronger than Bright colors, but have a much weaker magic and elemental grid and are always

opposed by each other.

Bright colors are weaker in terms of physical strength than Monochrome, yet have a stronger magical and elemental grid.
They also have more variety as unlike black and white, they need a certain color to cancel one another out.

If you have any questions, just ask.

Character Name: Rain Brenagin

Character Age: Eighteen

Character Gender: Male

Race: Human

Class: Slayer

Innate: Green (As will be made obvious.)

Weapon: Lance/Spear

Power: Whisper

Appearance:

Rain has golden eyes, emerald green hair, and has a slightly muscular build.
He wears a skin-tight black short-sleeved shirt, that ends just above his stomach. Over this, he wears a long-sleeved shamrock green jerkin, which ends just above his ribcage.
He wears a pair of black trousers, with several pairs of chestnut colored belts around them.
On his feet, he wears a pair of sturdy brown travel boots, that are designed to make very little noise as he walks.
Covering his hands to his forearms, is a pair of brown leather gloves, which are buckled together with black leather straps.

Personality: Rain is highly optimistic, and is slow to anger, yet quick to judge. He is quick to plan, yet slow to react, and although he is supportive, he has his limits.

Bio:

Rain was discovered by the Pardus militia captain, Lathander Brenagin; whom found an infant on the outskirts of Yuea City during a heavy rainstorm. Hence the name "Rain".
Rain's family was never found, so Lathander took on the task of raising the infant.
Why the Snow Pardus decided to do so, he never said why, but it could have been that he couldn't have children of his own.
Rain grew up learning the ways of battle and warfare from his adoptive father, and began to excel in the art of the Lance.
As a hobby, he took up the job of being a forest guide, leading caravans and travelers through the woods near the city.

Rain's abilities as a Whisper have been known to him and Lathander since Rain was very young.
As a result, Rain is often using these abilities to help people and/or hunt monsters in and around the forest.

However, no form of training, power or studying, could have prepared this young Whisper for what's about to come next.

Other 1: Rain was, at an early age, quite the troublemaker, and gave Lathander a bad reputation.

Other 2: Rain's motivation is lacking. Greatly.

[If I do join, which there is a large chance I will, as the one before the repost had a few people in it, which is the part that can scare me off when dealing with your threads.

Could I make my character start out a simple Brawling dude, before actually becoming a real warrior of one sort or the other?]

( I don't see why not. The Classes are just how the character starts off in the story. You can change classes [or improve on the one you pick/ cross-class] but it would take a lot of RP-stuff. Learning how to fight that way from someone who does know. )

[I'd probably make him a younger guy, experienced enough with a sword or some time of weapon to be considered a warrior, but more of a bar room brawler at heart.]

[ Probably should mention, just so there's no doubts, if you're born without a Mage heart you can never evvvverr change class to a magical one. This extends to Clerics and anything that uses magic. ]

Character Name: Jones Rose Silver

Character Age: 23

(Brawlers don't use weapons at all. I think you're looking for either a Berzerker w/2 weapons or a dual-wielder. Besides that, Brawler wouldn't seem to suit this character. It doesn't seem meaty enough. Brawlers are supposed to be large walls of meat and angry punching.
Besides the class issue and appearance clashing with class, good character. I'd accept it, if you chose to fix the small things.)

(Alrighty, cool. )

"The town was bound to be a big target for whatever this was." She reasoned to herself. Even with her energy and life sign masked, she didn't feel safe with the things haphazardly moving around and attacking.
She vaults over the battlements, down the wall and onto the grass covered hill below, rolling as she landed. It's sure to be safer outside the town walls, right?

The large man lazing around in the inn chair looked like the true essence of boredom. He was staring at the ceiling, day-dreaming about a true battle. He would have to wait, until the need for his glorious fists rised. The large man just kept looking at the ceiling, thinking about more things.

Jones finally decided to rest, sitting on the porch of the blacksmith shop, she poked her hand into her pocket, scrambling for some coins, enough for a dagger..

She stood up and cocked to the blacksmith, placing the coins upon the wooden table. "Dagger." Jones said, the blacksmith handed her a iron dagger, Jones smiled, and put down one more coin, her last coin.. "A tip." Jones said. And quietly walked away.

Rain poked his head out of the alcove.
The night sky was much darker than usual, and the blue fog was getting thicker by the minute.
Rain had only one idea in mind, and he knew that he wasn't going to like it.
Setting fire to the huge statue in the city's town square.

The statue was made up of some kind of strange ice, that if touched by fire, would burst into flame.
Rain remembered one of those nights long ago, when Lathander had stayed up late with Rain to help him study; he taught the boy that fog could be dispersed by flame.

Lathander and the other militia had never bothered to try such a thing against this supernatural fog.
But fog was fog, and as such, it was still bound by the rules of the world.
Or, so Rain hoped.

He rummaged around in his pocket for a bit of flint.
He found only one small piece, but it would have to do.

The elf made her way towards the nearest forest.
It could hardly be called 'nearby,' as it was atleast a three hours walk away from the town walls. Hopefully her spell would be keeping her safe.

K, now back.

Jones

I grabbed the dagger, and gripped it hard, as if trying to choke someone. "Hmm, I'll make this better, for now I'll leave it plain..." I mumbled. The inn being near by, I decide to stay there. Rummaging for something to trade, after a hour of searching, I find a coin on the floor, I then pay the fee and head out, ready to rest for the night.

Rain continuously phased through wall after wall, until he reached the statue.
He wasn't going to like the outcome of this.
He just knew he wasn't going to.

Flipping his Lance so that the head was facing the cobblestone walkway, he knelt down and rested the haft on his shoulder.

Pulling the flint from his pocket, he struck the steel of the lance's head repeatedly, until finally, he was rewarded with a spark.
He continued as he was, until the sparks leaped off of steel and onto ice.

The night grew bright with the flickering of a huge pillar of flames.

With that, the fog began to disperse around the town square, and for three agonizing minutes, Rain waited, and nothing happened.

His plan had worked.

CHARACTER SHEET

Character Name: John Henry, he is never referred to as simply John though, always John Henry.

Character Age: 18 and approx. 1/2

Character Gender: Male

Race: Horc

Class: Brawler, with intentions to possibly learn to become a true warrior, and has enough skill and knowledge with blades that it wouldn't be like he would be in the dark if he decided to learn.

Heart: Unfortunately, John Henry has no magic heart.

Innate: Black

Weapon: Lefty and 'Ol Righty

Power: He seems to be without a power, although he sometimes believes he could be a stalker during his 'pub' moments.

Appearance: A huge dude, simple as can be. He stands 10 to 14 inches [No clue how tall the average Horc is so :>] above the height of an average Horc, with muscles like an Ox, but that does not go without saying there are larger and stronger. The real noticeable trait of John Henry is that he can take many more hits than a normal man, and it shows by his facial features. Only 18 and John is missing a few teeth, has a disfigured nose from many breaks, his face is scarred and mangled, without being noticeably deformed looking. While it might look like he is physically messed up if it was anyone else, John Henry somehow pulls it off, giving it a tough and rugged look. He has long and slick brown hair, and dark stubble, almost as thick and long as a thin beard. His dark brown eyes complement his dark tan, and usually windburnt face. His hands, that's where you got to look.. His hands are particularily massive, with fingers appearing to be smaller sausages, except scarred and more intimidating than pudgy little fingers. His knuckles are HUGE, his big knuckle being about as large as an eye, and is also calloused and scarred. That goes for the rest of his hands too, scars and callous litter the massive dukes

He normally clads himself in black or dark brown work clothing, with a robe-like overshirt on. His boots are large and sturdy, along with his belt. [This will/may change if he decides to travel or something]

Personality: Imagine the guy at the pub, or even in your village who survived the oddest and craziest of things, that's John Henry in a nutshell. He is stubborn and foolhardy, but unnaturally tough and even lucky, or unlucky depending on how you see it. He is a very joyous man and a hard drinker, and usually does better in a scrap when he can see twice as many fighters as there really are!

Bio: A simple Horc lad, adopted by Human travelers, when the young Horc's parents were sick, they offered the baby to the family. The parents always say that on the trip home, the baby fell out of the cart, into the river over the bridge they were crossing.. They found him eight hours later down the river, fast asleep. Folk tales or truth, believe what you want. Many myths about John Henry circulate in his home area, fighting bears and other outrageous tales, taking truth from fiction is hard. One thing that is confirmed is during a hike, John Henry fell off a small cliff, hitting the ground 20 feet down, and didn't even break a bone in his body. What really happened, and how he came out okay, is unknown, he's just John Henry.

Other 1: John Henry is the brightest dumb person and the luckiest person with bad luck you might meet. An odd man.

[I honestly made this because of a story my teacher told me.

His friend who had a name like John Henry, the kind of name you'd expect someone with that name for this to happen to used to have a propane stove, right?

Well it leaked, and his whole house was filled with propane, and when he turned his doorknob that day, the friction lit the propane and blew up the whole house. My teacher who lived a good ten blocks away felt his windows vibrate and could see the smoke.

John Henry (going with this name cause i forget the real name) survived. His door, blew away, with him there. John flew over 100 feet. Like, across the road, over the river, and into the forest. He was a tough dude too, and he wasn't even hurt. Survived the explosion and flying 100 feet away.]
