You learn something new every day.
It is not only about your code, but also about all kinds of different concepts that you can use with it .

Script, I love your primary. OP, considering the posters are masters of Lua(RBLX.Lua?) then I would say it would take time and patience. It doesn't come in one day. It took me one day at a time for a few years to come as far as I have, of course I have stopped learning because I know as much as I want to now. I might start learning again, looking at free models, going to the Wiki(which is horrible for a newbie at scripting, :P), and going to YouTube videos at points.

It really depends on what level of knowledge you consider mastering lua. I don't think I have yet or possibly will ever ;o.

I've been learning it for probably the last five years and running.
It all started the day I tried to make a "Build with Magnet Toys" place and the parts didn't line up properly. I discovered formFactor that day, and have been finding new things ever since.
Only recently have metamethods come to light for me, and only recently have I ever really tried to break the engine entirely. It takes well-defined failures to see just how to make something do what you want without breaking.
There no masters of anything, only people good at what they do. |

Lua is like a sport. You can't "learn" a sport, you have to practice it and keep practicing it. You'll never completely know everything about Lua, but that's what makes it fun.

Now realize that same applies to literally everything, not just Lua specifically.

I like to compare it to math instead, since they are directly connected.
If you stop learning math over the summer, you will lose a lot of skills. That's why you always have to review what you've learned when you go back to school. If you stop using it, you will lose some of your skills. Also, much like math, it cannot simply me "mastered".
There are still some things you won't be able to do in Lua based off of your conceptual knowledge of math. I saw someone calculate the date using :tick() (tick is counts the time that has passed since Jan 1st 1970). It was very complicated for me.
For a change, instead of being sagacious, you can be fluent with Lua in a few months, if you have a good learning ethic, and utilize your resources well enough. Resources being the wiki and LuaLearners. I never really used LuaLearners though.
