| You want to be really good at something, but you're terrible, so you try a new aspect of said thing. It's not as bad as you think but still horrible and you're just not sure if proud or really disappointed. |

@John
Eh, I know that it might not really help me out too much in life, though if I ever figure out animation, that MIGHT be a nice career.
Well ok honestly I have no idea what I should do with my life, I just want to draw better. |

| And then that kind of awkward moment when an artist a million times better than you likes your drawing and you thank them, then they say you're a good artist when at times you blatantly hate the stuff you draw. |

just keep chipping away at it
i was never talented in guitar and singing but now i practiced for hours on end and on some days i'd play for a solid 5 hours or so and singing
...
i guess i was slightly gifted in that since i'm a high baritone
other than that, just keep going at it everyday and eventually you'll get better |

@John
I try to practice and stuff and I actually do like doing it, but procrastination and school work tend to get in my way. I hate to admit it but I really only draw once every two weeks. I recently kinda decided I should promise myself to draw at least once a week now. And eventually get a better program, the one I use ATM doesn't seem very ideal for me, there's not much you can do with it and it's embedded in a website which has poor moderation. |

are your teachers, like, piling the work on you???
or is that JUST AN EXCUSE SINCE YOU MANAGE TO COME ON HERE WHEN YOU COULD BE PRACTICING! ! ! ! !!! |

I am bad at drawing. There was a Spanish project where we have to make a 4 page comic and we can't draw stickmen. Effort in drawing was also needed as well. I have no motive in drawing at all. There are some projects I failed at when I was younger because I stink at crafting. I should have made my parents done that... (that was in 4th Grade) |

@John
Well, the thing is it normally takes me like a half an hour to draw something, and sometimes when I finish my work I just don't have time to draw. At other times I either procrastinate or can't think of what to draw. |

I sort of am. I'm doing some stuff with digital art in school but because of the way my school system works I only recently started, and the directions aren't very direct. It's normally the teacher asking you to play with the program by making shapes and stuff, which does help you learn, but not really do stuff like anatomy and coloring. |

| Oh yeah, there's also times when the site the canvas is embedded in randomly 502 errors. I've lost two drawings forever because of that, one I worked like an hour on. |

fair enough, take it there aren't any clubs and that you could dive into then? you've probably done this already, but what about checking youtube out for instructional videos and using it to get ideas? :) |

Nah, no clubs.
And call me arrogant but I don't look at drawing tutorials because even though I'm terrible, I don't want to end up copying a style and honestly I'd prefer to try to do stuff myself. For now.
@EnGuLf
My best advice is to try to practice, I guess. |

At least I got to vent a bit. |
