| No. Your teeth will ache, not bad though, for a couple of days. Not supposed to eat some things, but really it's fine. |

No, I've had them for awhile and they only hurt when you get them tightened. I mean they only really hurt when you bite on things so you have to eat pudding and stuff Since you have spacers, I'm guessing that you already do have to eat pudding and stuff.
But, no, braces are like jewelry. |

Your teeth will hurt for about a week after they get put on. You can't eat some things, but most of them are things you don't eat on a regular basis anyway. Also every 8 weeks the spring things that make them work will have to be tightened. Depending on if you needed to have teeth that were fused to the bone pulled out, you may need to have new braces put on as those teeth grow in, but nothing too terrible.

@Ordon
How long? 16 more months until I get mine off, next August, actually. Also whose alt are you? You seem like an alt.

Hey, that same thing actually happened to me! It took my orthodontist a full year to figure out that I had a fused tooth that was acting as an anchor to pull up the rest, and not (just) me forgetting to wear rubber bands. I still got them off on schedule, though.
@OP, nope, it's not too bad. They're only occasionally painful (when you get them put on/tightened), and if you have tylenol, it's totally bearable. The only major downside is, it makes it more difficult to brush your teeth, but you get used to that after a while. |

Over the course of about a year and a half I had 10 fused teeth pulled out. 2 of them were impacted teeth, too.

"10 fused teeth"
I'm suddenly a lot less interested in hearing your story. Just let me wait until I'm done eating my dinner to lose my appetite... |
