I did. It was pretty nice.
First we went to this huge street festival called the Sakura Matsuri (creative, right?) and I met up with a friend I talk to over the net. We looked at stuff and I got a reimy plushy and some food and gawked at cosplayers.
Later we went down to the Jefferson memorial and watched these performers doing routines on Taiko, traditional japanese drums. It was pretty intense. Of course we walked around the basin and looked at the blossoms as well.
Oh, and there was a parade. |

We're no strangers to love You know the rules and so do I A full commitment's what I'm thinking of You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long Your heart's been aching, but You're too shy to say it Inside, we both know what's been going on We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling Don't tell me you're too blind to see
Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
(Ooh, give you up) (Ooh, give you up) Never gonna give, never gonna give (Give you up) Never gonna give, never gonna give (Give you up)

| Walking around the tidal basin was sort of annoying though, because half of the people taking pictures weren't paying attention to where they were going. I felt like I was going to be pushed in. |

| It was for about two weeks, various events were held for it throughtout D.C like art galleries or screenings or shows or fireworks and such. I believe today is the closing day. |

@Ratiosu
Well, they have cherry blossom festivals in other places too. But the central one is in D.C. You should try and come one day, take a plane maybe. You can buy this fish-shaped snack filled with bean paste called taiyaki. |
