(I'm not communist)
Just because of the Cold War, USA and Canada have gone all out anti-communist. What is so bad about communism that can scare the living crap out of world leaders? I don't see much wrong with communism, other than (usually) strict military rule and a cult around the leader. |

copypasta from someone else;
The basic idea of Communism is great, I've always liked it. The ideas of Marx were great, which is why some countries decided to take that course. Unfortunately, it looks good on paper, terrible in action.
What countries like Russia and China hoped communism would look like: -A poor construction worker. -A rich CEO who inherited his business from family.
Add communism:
-A poor construction worker. -A poor CEO who inherited his unsuccessful and government-run business from his family.
You see, the Communists would hope that the construction worker would become middle class and the rich CEO would fall down to become middle class as well. It was not the case.
In Russia for example (First real communist state), the government forced factories to produce faster to reel out more goods, thinking it would boost the economy. Instead, the factories were so afraid of these deadlines that they made the goods of horrible quality. Collective farms? Farmers won't give in to that, and they're not as productive as they seem. 10 farmers running their own farms is more productive than 10 farmers running one big farm, its been proven.
Also, with communism usually comes a Totalitarian state. No privacy, the government could do whatever they want to you, no Democracy, etc. This is the main reason why people hate Communism. They often associate Communism with Totalitarianism. Communism isn't nearly as bad as Totalitarianism, its objective is actually very good (Money towards the people who most deserve it!)
No rights, no economic freedom, no political freedom, and the government chooses your life for you.
People don't like that, so people hate it. They hate..."Communism," or in my eyes, "Communists that became Totalitarian." |

If used correctly, it could work well, so I partially support communism. It's never been used correctly. |

Roman empire lasted at it's peak for like 20-30 years.
Then the Persians and the Barbaric Hordes took over the land.
Also, Romans gave us the idea of Democracy.
Ever heard of something called the Roman Senate?
Roman Republic?
ect. |

| Communism/Socialism is working in Australia, our socialist party called Labor Party. You don't even have to go to work to live in a house but you would not have electricity and we have excellent welfare services. |

| It is good, there just isn't a good leader to actually make it work. Also, I don't like the idea that someone could go slack off and not do their job but I could go work 24 hours a day 5 days a week and still make the same amount of money as him. See what I'm saying? |

Stalin. Under him, the USSR went from one of the world's most backward states to arguably the most technologically sophisticated. |

I believe that the US thinks that it is evil or something, because it's different from Capitalism.
That is just my opinion. |

| In THEORY you think Australia is capitalism but in REALITY and from realist studies we're already communist and just need to abolish all private property, private companies and label ourselves communist. |

CONCERNING STALIN!:
Stalin likely saved more people through his industrialization program, meaning prevented more people from dying of easily preventable diseases, malnutrition, etc, by modernization than he killed in all his purges put together. |

Scar, there is honestly nothing wrong with Communism. It's the countries that attempt to use it, then utterly fail with it. On paper, it looks great, but when put to use, it falls apart. |
