Recently, I got a lens flare effect to work, which makes me really happy, because I've been trying for about 2 years.

I know Oysi has already made one, so it's not *that* cool, but I still wanted to show you guys. Also, I want your opinion on the best way to use images instead of square frames.
The best way I can find right now is using image labels that have a transparency of 10%, that is, I upload an image label at 10% alpha, and then layer it to get the effect. I've done that before, and the effect is okish.
I'm hoping you guys have a better way though. :D |

Now use local lighting hax, and make everything brighter when you look too close to sun. Will be hot.

^ Damnit you stole my idea.
I've been thinking of making some kind of lighting FX system with the local lighting h4x. :L

I remember Upquark did a thing that. If you stare into the sun for too long your screen would fade white then you would go blind and it turned black inside your coregui. It was pretty cool.

Just a small thing that is a bit off is that you still get the effect when you stand close to parts but cannot see the sun, but yeah, seems great so far

I am tracking the camera. The raycasting issue is where I *tried* to let it work through transparent parts. Unfortunately, I have transparent part's that have solid part's behind them.

for transparent parts get the side the ray hits and then cast a ray from the opposite side and keep doing that until it either hits nothing or a solid part? Only thing i can think of.

So long as it doesn't end up like EA's patented lens flares, I'm fine with this.
