| 85% of it's jokes are cheap slapstick, random song and dance, bad puns, "lel le 69 xd" type jokes, or bad pop culture references. |

That was what adults thought was funny back-then.
Just look at the Three Stooges. Slapstick used to be very, very popular.
It's still big in Japan, tho. Look at Nichijou.
Best slapstick comedy ever.

The Animaniacs is a tad more sophisticated than the fare you see today. They had a large amount of thought behind content, story, and the delivery of jokes, and some bonuses for the parents who could manage some enjoyment out of it too rather than just being a strictly child-only program. A lot of modern cartoons lack a lot of substance and equate to fifteen or thirty minutes of animated key-jingling for your brain-dead toddlers. |

"large amount of thought behind content, story, and the delivery of jokes" was it written by iguanas or something? |

What? As much as I fancy iguanas, that's irrelevant.

...? That's still irrelevant. You're implying it's bad, without really giving specifics other than the fact it's slapstick. The other guy mentioned The Three Stooges are slapstick and The Three Stoogers are often appreciated as being brilliant. |
