@crash
I wouldn't even try tbh. He's just going to be like "Xtina has vocals blah blah range blah blah she's better than Britney so that obviously means she's great" (aside from the fact that pretty much everyone has a better vocal range than Britney so it's not really much of an accomplishment) "Blah blah blah you don't know what you're talking about FIGHTERS FTW FLOPTINA'S VOCALS SLAYS YOUR FAV". There's really no point of having a reasonable argument with him because he's just going to ignore every decent point you make. |

Can't you just shut up and accept that not everybody likes your precious ''Xtina''?
Damn, I wonder if you actually ever mentioned somebody else you like. |

He likes Whitney, Mariah, and Gaga. That's pretty much all I know of because everyone else has a terrible vocal range and apparently is not worthy of being in the music industry because vocal talent is all that matters especially in Pop music, because we all know that everyone in Pop music has to have an amazing singing voice to even be considered an artist. |

I just got to mention it, even though you will totally ignore it and stick to your close-minded attitude. Simone Simons, my favourite female vocalist has a vocal range of four octaves aswell.
So yeah. http://youtu.be/8zatVB3AAZc?t=1m20s http://youtu.be/uFLU-_aj6qk?t=2m5s |

| The thing about high pitch is that not everyone can do that. And not because they suck at singing, but because they just can't. Saying the range makes you a good singer by default is basically saying playing a simple tapping piece on guitar makes you an amazing guitarist. (which it doesn't, tapping is very easy) |

@Crash's first two commnets. touchet, although Xtina does have an undeniable vocal technique as well that person you showed does know how to use his range and that's ultimately what matters.
@Lobstery I never said that Pop singers have to be good singers, because most don't I just say that any decent artist who (uses vocals) should be a good singer, I like a whole bunch of singers/vocalists other than who you mentioned such as:
Amy Lee from Evanescence Marilyn Manson Emeli Sande Pavarotti Andrea Bocceli Kurt Cobain from Nivana
etc

Christina's a good singer, I won't deny that, but how you come off turns me off from her greatly.
"as well that person you showed does know how to use his range and that's ultimately what matters."
Go back and read what I said. |

Actually I think I'm a pretty bad singer. I'm not trying to look like a good singer. I did say I have a bit of range, but I went on to say that doesn't matter. |

"@Lobstery I never said that Pop singers have to be good singers,"
Yes, but way back when we were talking Xtina vs. Britney, you were saying Xtina was better, and that Britney was terrible, simply because she does not have the vocal range of Xtina. Every time I brought up a point as to why I like Britney more, you would say "BUT XTINA HAS VOCAL RANGE PIGNEY CAN'T SING", which leads me to believe that you think an artist has to have a wide range of vocals in order to be good.
And for the record, Kurt Cobain was not a good vocalist. Far from it, actually. |
