It has come ot mine - as well as most others - attention, that ROBLOX is gaining 30% of deals we make with others. He is ROBLOX, he doesn't need ot buy Hats/Gears/Packages/Faces because he created them so he already has them. All this does is take tix/robux from players to be used for nothing.
A couple examples of why this is wrong, is as follows:
Say you have a obby or sword fighting game where the winner gets a certain amount of Robux/Tix (BC Games only). I have been on many a game where a winner has complained over and over that it says 100 robux and they only got 75 (example). This is bad for the owner of the game because although most people understand, quite a few players leave and they then tell their friends not to play. At one game I even saw 3 different people report the owner because he only gave 75 robux instead of 100.
Another reason is because, I, personally - along with many others - have decided against making deals or have been pulled up short on deals. Why? It is because someone offers 300 for a t-shirt, so you say "I will make 350 then" and they say "No 300" but then you say "That isn't fair I need 300 not 260" So either one of them just cancels the deal. This can cause disruption, flaming, scamming and spamming. It can get groups involved, friends onvolved and sometimes go so far as getting Admins nad Mods involved.
Please support this as I feel that it could benefit members alike!

No support. We have a tax to reduce the amount of money in ROBLOX. So many tickets and robux are produced each day. |

The tax should remain, but as a smaller number, perhaps 15 or so.

Semi-support...
One, i've never seen a game where you actually get robux or tix, except for the scams places.
two, this game sorta prepares you for real life it helps you learn about economy. (sounds silly, but it's true)
three, Roblox paying interns in virtual cash... Thats true, but it is ROBLOX they can create and destroy currency whenever they want. Thermodynamics doesn't apply to an economy where robux can be 'printed' whenever an admin wants. (Don't take it too literal, Im not saying any admin just makes robux, but Roblox can do that.) |

The tax doesnt affect the majority, So sadly they wont be catering to your needs.
Support, But will never happen and even if they did something like this they would have to add something like a auo tax filter that would calculate the amount of tix/robux flow and adjust the tax accordingly

| Cash flow will be too big, and people can make profit from the smallest price, This will have effect on anything. Shirts, T-Shirts, Trade system EVERYTHING must be changed. Or the value of ROBUX must be lower, and value of tickets as well. |

| I see at least a half-dozen threads like this a week, and my answer is always the same: the 30% market fee exists for a good reason. Without taxation, the economy fills up with too much money, and so the value of that money goes down. This is inflation. The 30% market fee exists so that prices on ROBLOX stay reasonable. |

There is too much money in the economy. The reason for this is because people don't do anything with their money, so it piles up. From your daily bonuses, and place visits, the pile gets too big.
Because ROBLOX's item prices are too high, no one wants to buy anything or wants to save up for it. This makes it so that the currency is worth less. Meaning the prices of ROBLOX's items go up even more. It also means we're earning less and less everyday. It makes a giant snowball effect, that ROBLOX thought they could fix with tax.
However, the tax only effects the players. Since many realized this, many players stopped buying and making things entirely from other players. Since a lot of players stopped buying and hats because of the cost, hardly anyone is buying anything. Meaning the tax is hardly doing it's job, it's annoying players, and disrupting the economy even more.
ROBLOX could have easily resolved this issue by making a lot of cheap items, that looked good. Or by lowering the prices on their existing items. No, ROBLOX doesn't like to benefit the community very much, so they put the tax in. If you haven't figured out if I support or not, it's your own fault. |

| I think it should be lowered, but completely taking it away would cause problems because everyone is awarded free tix (and R$ for BC users) every day. |

Chief is close, I've been better acquainted with the market than he has.
The idea is less inflation and more that the market needs a sink. Right now you can "magically" create Robux by simply giving us some money. Since there is no way to turn Robux into real-world money again, that Robux is now stuck into the Roblox market, where it will stay unless we have some way to make it come back out of the market.
So long as we have money coming in and not going out, everyone starts collecting money and it never goes away. People who are good at making deals will just continue to increase their supply of Robux until prices for everything rise infinitely. This is very close to inflation but the purchasing power of Robux is not really flexible anyhow. This is a case of the quantity of money simply increasing while the purchasing power remains constant.
In order to prevent the market from overflowing with incoming Robux, we create a drain or sink of Robux. This is the 30% transaction tax that you guys see for any trade deals. This lets money magically appear in the market by buying Robux, and this lets money magically disappear by taking Robux and stuffing it into a box. This keeps the supply of money more or less consistent and prevents everyone from having too much money.
In the real world there would be a lot of problems with this, because in the real world you can't magically make money, there's a process of creating wealth that I'm not going to go into now. However we're in the process of simulating a money system, and since we give you an ability to magically create money there needs to be a system of controls to make that money come back out of the system. This "completes" the loop, at the end of the day people who are purchasing Robux are simply buying the money that you've lost in taxes.
And so the Robux cycle flows, and because it's flowing really well we're going to leave it as it is. |
