When this small world - Cattos - was created, three peculiar individuals came into being. They are the Trinity. These three beings were shaped from the particles of a lake called Vacini, whom we may know as the divine founder of this world. The Vacini's water was designed to fill the People of Cattos with high-spirits. It cured almost anything. But, the Vacini was one lake out of several; the People of Cattos had difficulty finding this lake. They struggled to reach it before fate took one's life away. This lake that was specifically designed to aid the People of Cattos was not fulfilling its purpose. The people cried out to Vacini for help.
Thus, the Trinity was formed.
The Trinity emerged from the Vacini to take responsibilities into their own hands. There is...
Enros, the Wise and the Mindful.
Galos, the Valiant and the Assured.
Toron, the Healer and the Mender.
With these aspects, the Trinity passed from lake to lake, river to river, pond to pond, giving forth their essences that would match the Vacini's quality and significance. Disease, illness, paralyzation, lameness- these burdens of Cattos dropped tremendously. The villages of Cattos strived, and the People of Cattos were jubilant, longing for more of the Trinity's divine work. But, this longing turned to greed; that greed turned to determination; and that determination led to corruption.
The Trinity could not withstand this rebellious civilization. The people flocked together and hunted the Trinity, in hopes that they could take them prisoner. And it was evident that constant wars would break out from there- villages fighting villages, battling for the possession of the Trinity, as though the Trinity was not people, but instead valuable relics.
The Trinity came to the conclusion that they could not hide forever. Vacini was not answering their requests, so he must have already established a solution. And this was it: the Trinity must build a labyrinth. It must be in the form of a tower, with ten floors, no more or less. There must be an outer ring with bridges connecting tunnels on each side of the ring. In the center of the maze, there must be "checkpoints". They are mere rooms that do not move. Everything will remain the same in them. There will be ten tunnels leading out of each "checkpoint", and these tunnels will lead into the outer ring. The bridges will move frequently, and they will move in a pattern.
And thus, the Trinity constructed the labyrinth.
Enros designed the labyrinth, according to Vacini's regulations.
Galos formed the beasts and brutes that roam the maze freely.
Toron averted his purposes by filling the bottom of the maze with lethal substances that would burn skin, poison individuals, and stimulate hallucinations
With no further adieu, the Trinity filled a fountain with their own essences that would guarantee immortality to any who drink from it: no more disease or illness; no more pain or suffering; and, lastly, no more aging. And it is called the Fountain of Youth.
---
A party of certain individuals could no longer bear the hardships of Cattos. Thus, they stepped forward to search for this Fountain of Youth so that they could prosper. But they face starvation, hallucinations that may result in death, and wicked beasts that won't hesitate to kill them. Vacini has abandoned them. The Trinity cannot help them. The other People of Cattos are too cowardly to venture into the unknown. They are alone. And they don't even know if they will be successful...

I'm going to join. Is a rogue-like character acceptable? Basically daggers and just enough armor to protect me slightly from everything trying to tear me limb from limb?

-Your name?: Peter Wyndful -Your age?: 26 -Your gender?: Male -Your appearance?: At 5'10", Peter has an average build, though he is slightly on the slim side. He has hazel eyes and pale skin. His hair matches his armor's faded brown color. Two thick, leather straps form an X across his chest, each strap holding a canteen of water. He has a belt pouch on his left side, which currently contains nothing but some currency and food. A bow rests on his back, hanging around a quiver of 11 arrows and secured by a thread, wrapped ten times around. Covering half of his quiver is Peter's cowl; a dark green hood. Sheathed on his right side is a small dagger, only used when Peter runs out of arrows. He wears boots that are a slightly darker brown than the rest of his clothing. -Your personality?: Peter often remains quiet, and lets others lead. He is very obedient, however. If he believes the leader is worthy of leading, he will follow his/her command. But if the command may hurt a friend of his, he does not care. -Your background?: Peter was a hunter for most of his teen years. This allowed him to consistantly practice archery, and may also be the reason for his accuracy. -Your weapons?: A wooden bow, 12 arrows, and a small dagger. -Your other provisions?: Two canteens of water, three days' worth of bread rations. |

-Your name?: Melodia A. Cappella -Your age?: 27 -Your gender?: Feminine -Your appearance?: Melodia stands at 5 feet sharp and is of average weight. her brown hair extends only to her elbows when her arms aren't up. She looks at people through her hazel eyes. Her skin may not be that pale, but her clothes are mainly shades of white(think vanilla). She also carries a pack on her back(which contains stuff) and a case for her string instrument(she calls it a Lirone because that's basically what it is.) -Your personality?: Melodia is a bit of a wildcard in her personality. She doesn't really take much of a lead and morely sits back, letting others do the offense while she plays to motivate or something like that. -Your background?: Melodia is from a mildly poor family(the Cappellas) who commonly took up errands to get money. Melodia tried to settle on just one thing and she ended up as a bard, playing music and such. Then she got wind of the Fountain of Immortality, and...well... you know. -Your weapons?: She carries around a small dagger, in addition to using the Lirone as an improvised one. -Your other provisions?: Her pack has quite a few things(namely; 2 canteens of water and a few days worth of bread)

-Your name?: Awnia Pelas Faine
-Your ag.e?: 21
-Your gender?: Female
-Your appearance?: Awnia generally wears her jet black hair over her left shoulder. Her eyes are a bright shade of brown, and her nose is is notably long. Her face is freckled, and her skin is of a light shade of brown. She is fairly slim, and stands at a height of 5' 4".
-Your personality?: Awnia has a crabby and hostile attitude most of the time. She is headstrong, and prefers to have her way in any situation. She also struggles to come to an agreement with anyone on anything. She is scarcely mindful of her decisions, and this choice - to enter the labyrinth - is not one of those times. She can be very fierce and wrathful when she is provoked.
-Your background?: Awnia grew up in a village called Thoke, built on the banks of Lake Cedar. Though the Trinity's visits were rare, they were much appreciated. Many of Awnia's bed-ridden neighbors and relatives were granted another few years to live. Unfortunately, the Trinity would not grant eternal life to anyone, and soon her aged parents passed away, shortly after her marriage to Caddis, a charismatic young fellow who'd been healed by the Trinity himself. A year or so after Awnia's marriage, though, the villagers recognized how scarce the Trinity's visits were. The villagers of Thoke felt neglected; thus, they retaliated. They cursed the name of Vacini and murdered any who did not take part in their cold-blooded scheme. One night, as Caddis held Awnia in his arms while the turmoil took place outside. Alas, their cabin was intruded by a hoard of resentful villagers. Caddis put himself between the villagers and his wife, and his life was lost as a consequence. Having witnessed her husband's death, Awnia escaped swiftly from Throke and stayed with her sister in a village called Fuerock, until she decided to seek out the Fountain of Youth that she so often heard of.
-Your weapons?: A fairly long & broad steel knife with a crimson leather hilt
-Your other provisions?: A canteen of water, and a pack of fruits, meat, and loaves of bread. |

Awnia wears a basic attire- dark brown trousers, a lighter brown cuffed long-sleeved shirt, a pair of dark leather boots, and very light armour forged from iron. (Good 'nuff T:)

RACES:
Celtess [sel-tess]/[Singular - Celta] - The Celtess are relatively bat-like creatures that prefer to dwell in the narrow tunnels of the labyrinth. They favor small enclosures, and they scarcely leave them, unless their appetites entice them out. They have very large teeth with keen points that they use to dig into the flesh of their prey. Two teeth are so large that they protrude from their notably small mouths, and these are used for defense, as well as intimidating prey and other creatures. They decrease in number each passing day because humans and other races alike feast on their flesh. But, several are born every day, and, thus, they are an abundant race. The Celtess are coated in a thin layer of dark grey fur. Their wings are very broad, and are said to be wider than their bodies, but it's hard to determine that since they fly at such high speeds. When they aren't flying, they are perched on platforms in high, dark areas.
Malenore [mal-eh-nor]/[Singular - Malen ] - The Malen is an arctic referred beast, associating itself with anything cold. It's appearance is that of a white buck, with strong shimmering antlers atop its head. Its eyes are normally blue, and some tufts of overgrown fur linger on its coat. The Malen is stronger and much bigger than a normal deer, standing at a whopping five feet on all fours and weighing in at close to seven hundred pounds. Its hooves are strong and huge, allowing it to have great agility on ice and snow, making it a feared predator and an easy killer. Although strong and powerful, these creatures aren't the smartest of them all, easy to manipulate with some effort.
Seridiglores [sear-e-dig-lores]/[Singular - Seridiglore] - These things are massive. They have the body of a heavily armored, metal grey bear naturally. The Seridiglore rip through the very walls of the Labyrinth, but there are not many of these huge creatures. If you enter an area, and hear some sort of low shriek, then you know to keep quiet. If you do not, then you are in for a tough fight. Their claws are long and sharp, and their hands are shaped like shovel heads. They can charge, but only in one direction before they must stop and alter. However, they are quite hard of seeing: not blind, though. They rely heavily on their senses of smell and hearing to track their prey. They also hunt many of the creatures in the Labyrinth, which means that the smaller monsters and the Malenore will turn against it because it is the known, deadly enemy.
Whispers [wiss-spurs]/[Singular - Whisper] - The Whisper is said to have a feline appearance, yet is still more human-like than ever. A Whisper appears to be a middle-aged woman, covered with a coat of fur from head to toe, with strange pointed ears atop their heads. They have sharp teeth and whiskers, along with eyes identical to a cat's. They are stealthy and silent, and use their whispers against you. Usually two or sometimes three will work together, whispering things, trying to confuse their victims to the point of attack with their [also sharp and pointed] claws.
Gattheons [gath-e-ins]/[Singular - Gattheon] - The Gattheons are fiery, impulsive brutes that can spark and diminish flames on their fingertips with an effortless flick of the fingers. They generally start fires on instinct when they encounter another creature-- even their own species. But, if they sense that their opposer is dangerous, they will turn and flee. They pillage the corpses and carcasses of their dead foes for food. They were wired to this, as well as burn their opponents' bodies. Sharp quills protrude from their backs, and horns from their skulls. Their bloodshot eyes portray these creatures as savaging beasts. The beasts' teeth are like daggers, sharpened regularly with stones and other sharp material found in the labyrinth. They have a strong build, and their thick fur is of a light shade of brown. |
