This is wolfcrazy101 and Compressor's proposal to change the Rank System in the Urban Assault Forces. (Posted on Compressor's old account due to the fact that he can not post on the forums, as he is a new account)
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ .:LOW RANKS:. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 1. Enlist - Can view shout; May not post on the wall. Must wear uniform and patrol to be promoted. 2. Private - Promoted through Patrols. 3. Lance Corporal - Promoted through Patrols. 4. Corporal - Promoted through Patrols. 5. Sergeant - Promoted through Training. 6. Lieutenant - Promoted through Training. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ .:MIDDLE RANKS:. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 7. Captain - Original idea will be followed. 8. Varantia Tier 1 - New guide will be formed for this. 9. Varantia Tier 2 - New guide will be formed for this. 10. Varantia Tier 3 - New guide will be formed for this. 11a. Combat Professional - New guide will be formed for this. 11b. Design Professional - New guide will be formed for this. 11c. Intellect Professional - New guide will be formed for this. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ .:HIGH RANKS:. - Host trainings, raids and patrols; They vote for minor concerns. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 12. Colonel - Elected in through elections. 13. Lt. Gen. or Brig. Gen. (Name will be chosen by the Generals) - If a general thinks that a colonel is ready to move up, he holds a vote, and if the Legis/Gens agree, they will be promoted. The Commander cannot promote Colonels to Lt. Gen. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ .:SPECIAL:. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ [SPEC] Diplomat - Representatives from other clans. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ .:ARCH COMMAND:. - Handle all major concerns and decisions. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 14. General - Follow the same idea as the previous system. Picked by the Commander. 15. Legislature - Follow the same idea as the previous system. 16. Commander - Follow the same idea as the previous system. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Side Notes: The Professional ranks are diverged, so the HRs can understand that they went through their specific area, or LRs can gain experience from Professionals.
This system will give Generals and Legislatures more power.
Wolf and I have realised that some people are experiencing frustration from the requirements.

| The guide Compress and I are writing should clear up some of the confusion with the added tier to the Varantia system. Also it should be stressed that this is a suggestion that we are putting forth, and is still open to ideas. |

| I agree, I prefer our current system. It's much more simple in respect to the low ranks, whereas yours is more difficult and complicated. Also, the Varitania reforms seem to be working smoothly-if it ain't broke, don't fix it. |

| What? It's true. Our current system allows for clear ways to be promoted through the Tier Ranks and doesn't need to be changed or muddled with more ranks (You claim there is a problem with our current system. I don't see the problem. ) |

This system would work better with the new departments. HRs would be able to see what professionals are specialized in. A new system of moving through the tiers would be implemented in which department heads/co heads would hold trainings for their area of expertise, and people would move up through the tiers in this way. Of course promotions would only be given to those who have done REALLY well in multiple trainings, and most trainings wouldn't have ANY promotions. This way those who are trying to specialize can actually be TRAINED in that field.
The requirements for some of the tiers are currently just time consuming for the sake of being time consuming. |

| Our current system, though functional, still has its flaws. One of the glaring flaws being that professionals are currently all clumped together. They should be recognized for their ability in their field. Also with the new tier system it would be a less frustrating experience for those in it. Instead of attending trainings for kicks, tier ranks would attend their own trainings that focus on their interests. These trainings would also serve as a way to learn more about their field, and progress through the tiers more seamlessly. |

@wolf, I actually like the idea that all the Professionals are together. It gives them a chance to branch out and form new skills, diversifying their field of expertise and allowing them to prepare for the HR world. After all, there is no separation amongst the HRs. |

| Then what is the point of having them specialize? If they aren't going to be doing something related to the field that they specialized in then why even have them specialize in the first place? |
