Hi, I'm trying to teach my cousin how to script but he gets very confused when using the Wiki to do so. You see, the Wiki teaches some basics and then all of a sudden goes deep into harder programming techniques which confuses him. Is there any reliable tutorials out there? Thanks.
Note: Lua Learners doesn't help either |

The only reliable tutorial I know of is my own book, ROBLOX Game Development. It is not complete yet, but it already goes farther than most tutorials out there and on the wiki, and its quality is higher.
You can find it here: en (dot) wikibooks (dot) org /wiki/ROBLOX_Game_Development |

Looks like you didn't use full potentional of LuaLearners. I could teach you privatly on there, but I've never seen you on that site. Also you can try my tutorials:

Your cousin should go nuts on the Internet, taking free Basic Programming courses. Most of the terms used in the Wiki will be explained 5 different ways, if u take 5 different coarses.
Every Subject u learn; u are really learning a sub-set of English terms, with a bunch of buzz-words thrown in to keep-out the riff-raff.

| The best learning comes from exploring other people's scripts. |

That to some extent is biased, blobbyblob.
It's different to other people, some people may find it easier to learn how to script browsing the Object Browser (Though I'd like to see them try.).
But otherwise, yes, you are true in the point that you can learn from other's scripts |

| How is it biased, if blobby is bias, might as well say that everyone else is bias since everyone else reference different ways to learn to script, and learning from the object browser...wat?? |

"Hi, I'm trying _to teach_ my cousin how to script but he gets very confused when using the Wiki to do so.'
So, you're not teaching him anything if he's using the wiki. He's confused even when you explain him wiki stuffs? Anyway, LuaLearners may help him, and maybe... you can try ColorfulBody's "book"... |

"@Color Will it be free?"
Completely. It's released under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-alike license and it is completely free to view. In fact, you can even edit it, since it's on Wikibooks, but Wikibooks' reviewing team needs to approve the edits first because they are published. |

| I don't see it as biased at all; if we learn to script off of someone with a bad habit, then we might slowly mutate towards that bad habit, as there would be two with that habit. |
