Greetings UCR members. A while back, it was announced by CakeTheory that in order to have an idea "considered" a member must post a forum and get a minimum of 35 people who support the idea to post on the thread. Today I want to speak about the training reform which was produced by Optiics and Hacker1leo.

The idea of the training reforms were to organize trainings and make them more disciplined - which is all fine and good, but UCR is not VAK, and I don't think that this reform is completely necessary to UCR at the moment. Since the reform has been produced, I've personally found trainings less fun and I've found HRs have less desire to actually host them.

I do infact support the overall idea of this reform - I mean, we're trying to improve trainings, however I personally think there are other ways to go about this. Rather than enforcing the rules, I think they should have a minimum level of enforcement. We are UCR, we are a family - while at the same time it's vital we actually benefit from trainings, it's also vital we can enjoy ourselves while at training (obviously remaining mature and not acting up).

Personally, I agree with the categorized trainings - I think that it's important HRs are teaching more specifics in a category rather than throwing a member into an activity, however to have HRs actually teach tactics and have them displayed correctly, there should be some kind of "training academy" where UCR's best trainers can share knowledge with other Mx members and HRs - I did suggest this specific idea to Madam President and I do think she is going to do it, she liked it.

In conclusion, I don't think this reform is necessary. To improve our current trainings, I believe a training academy should be made official and should begin process ASAP. UCR will only fall faster if our TRAINERS rather than trainees continue to decline. Please take this into consideration.

tl;dr - Training Academy > Strict Reforms

- UCR L2, Maritimes/Noah.

Training academy < Strict reforms

I training academy will still contain strict reforms because UCR's behavior is damaged.

UCR's behavior is damaged because the attitude produced by the high council members is reflecting on lower ranked members. President Plava simply needs to crack down on punishments for HRs.

No. You obviously do not understand the point of this reform. Optiics presented this idea to the True Patriots political party. Everyone was all-in. They all saw that trainings were under disciplined and members were not benefiting from them. The HR and MR ranks of UCR have grown sick and tired of being disrespected by LRs. Every training, I saw an HR get lip from an LR. 'Tis unacceptable. Categorized trainings were introduced in order to make it easier for Trainers to focus their Trainees on a certain skill, instead of the usual, "Let's have a fun time with FFA, GFT, SFT". Members were gaining little knowledge, and only having fun in trainings. Few MRs knew how to truly enrich a member's performance. I agree that trainings should be fun, but the member needs to walk away not only having had a fun time, but also walking away with a new skill or something rather. As for an academy, UCR has tried UCR School AND TBS: A, and both of these choked on inactivity. I appreciate your input though, and I hope you can consider mine.

Thank you.

I'm happy with the new trainings but I still want general trainings to happen.

The real problem is we don't have good trainers.

Honestly, we don't need all these reforms and paper work full of technicalities. I don't work that way. You'll be happy to know a training "academy" of sorts IS on the way. I need to have a starting staff of our most advanced training officials in order to produce good results. We're going to start off by training captains and later we will run joint trainings with captains to train officers.

I don't consider your input, Hockey, because one party thought it was good? Nice..
I've heard a lot of complaints about the reform and I find trainings boring to attend now, I want to get other members' opinions.

Well, many members around UCR were complaining about trainings, thus we unanimously thought it would be good. You have to loom at it from the HR's perspective. LRs might be having a great time goofing off, but imagine what the trainer is thinking? If he can't calm down the trainees, he won't have a training.

@Hacker
As I said before, I like the Training Academy idea, but consider historical UCR learning establishments. TBS: A, UCR School. Dead. Choked on inactivity. So unless you have a grand scheme for making a highly active, efficient institution that will take over the normal UCR Training regime, I would advise caution.

Although I'm "Ms. Strict", I completely agree. This is a good statement and I do believe that before enforcing rules, we should spend more time working with our Captains.

Trainings don't have to be a dead environment.

Hockey, what you're saying is being heard. It's just you're really defending a system that hasn't worked for a long time. By academy, I don't mean a division.

I support this forum. If we want training a bi strict we need to present it in a different way. If we push our member like this they will be stressed.

Thus, if True patriot's created the strict rule why are they representing freedom and liberty???

We need to be stricter. I've noticed that some high ranks have been playing along with everyone who messes around. The only alternative is to demote the troll ish ones or warn them at least. Ammune, I don't want to start anything but you NEED to take things more seriously. If we're doing nothing but playing around all the time how are we expected to win a war? We should still be allowed to have fun, but I think that sometimes the wrong people get promoted at trainings. The quiet ones are only ignored and the funny ones are always promoted. A high rank is a role model to the lower ranks. We can't have clowns teaching and turning more people into clowns. We NEED to change.

I don't believe UCR is necessarily a democracy. No clan is really a democracy.

Mari the whole point of UCR is that we are democracy and that we vote on things. We are also a family.
