Actually, you can buy a computer with GNU/Linux pre-installed. |

System76 is Ubuntu only. HP has some Ubuntu computers also. System76 is kind of like an Ubuntu Apple.
@OP
What distro?

There's still a use for desktops.
For example, IDK you need something better than a gaming laptop?
Some businesses still use them as well.
I have 4 computers in my room as of present, and 3 are desktops. |

@Dyo1
Haiku Release 1 is very stable.
The nightly builds are just what's less stable. But when Release 2 comes around, it should also be very stable.
I always say Linux PCs are the fastest, but Haiku even beats that. |

Convince everyone to use ARM Processors and more people might comply.
Or get it running on ix86 processors |

@Dyo1
Haiku supports hardware manufacturers.
The OS itself will run on nearly all modern PC's and the latest nightly build is compatible with nearly all common WiFi drivers.
The worst I'd see happening is that it wouldn't hook up to your printer.
But Linux does that as well, it won't hook up to any of my printers. Because hardware manufacturers don't support Linux, so Linux must support hardware manufacturers. |
