| What are English exams like in other countries? In the UK, they are horrible: analysing poetry, Shakespeare, books. In other countries, is it basic English? What exam questions are there? |

It's just basic English. It's like learning a foreign language in U.S.

English exams in the USA varies. I live in the state of New York, and our English exams are boring. We have to write essays, multiple choice , short response , and graphic organizer.

@superstrongman
consider yourself lucky! Id be in heaven our English exams included multiple choice! Analysis is hell. Poetry is hell. We have to write like 50 pages in 2 years (that's no exaggeration). 40 of them are for coursework (work in the class that contributes to your exams); im about 30% through the 2 years and have done about 20 pages already! Urgh... |

| My country has O Level format english...and instead of improving English, it destroys logic and makes you have even worse english. |

Where I live (Spain), all the questions are based off dumb stereotypes and SERIOUSLY basic English (I'm 15).
I pass every exam with 9.7/10 (more or less) and the only issues I have with the dumb teacher is the fact that she hardly speaks the language. She counts all the alternative words I use as if they were wrong. I'll give an example:
I wrote "she called her parents" as an answer, and she corrected "called" and said it was "phoned". Yes, I understand that "called" is more of an American word (we're being tought UK English, and, by the way, I was born in England), but it is used a LOT in England.
Simply, my mistakes actually are NOT mistakes, as they are incorporated in the "everyday" language, something the teacher WANTS us to do. |

In Spain, many questions involve simple verbs (past simple, 1st and 2nd conditional, etc). Others are basic text comprehention, listening excercizes and essays related to every-day life. |

What's American Cambridge? ------------------------------------------------------------ American Cambridge is essentially an American push for S.T.E.M. (Science Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) careers.
We are using British Cambridge curriculum. We are basically learning advanced British Schooling. |
