| Has anybody read this book? I read it today and it was definitely interesting. When you first read it, it seems as if it's a utopia but then, it somewhat turns into a dystopia, which makes it interesting. The book is fairly small. Written by Lois Lowry. |

Read "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. It's a lot like "The Giver" but I enjoyed it much more.
That, and "1984" and "Fahrenheit 451" |

the giver was the worst book ever written because it was all boring no intersetingpart or nothing it was the worst book ever written and the play was even worss because it did not even follow the book plot at all it skipped a ton of the details in the book.
that is why the giver was the worst book ever written. |

| I have never seen the play and you obviously didn't pay attention to the details. Many interesting things happened. |

| I read this book last year and it was dull at some parts, but the book in general was good. |

| It was really good. But at some parts, I was wierded out. For example, when Jonas was sharing his dream with his family. AWKWARD. But it was REALLY good anyway. |

It's definitely a book worth reading. It can be very burning at some parts though.
Don't let the cover make you think it's "old". |

I read this book in fifth grade, and I have to say, I still remember it. It's been like 5~6 years, and I've read tons of books during the years, yet its a really interesting book.
I recommend it :)
(I kind of forgot what the topic of this thread was ^^;;;;) |
