If you've been following the news for the past few years, then you're aware of this latest equal rights movement among same gender couples. For many years, they've been pushing for equal rights, specifically legal marriage. Its recognized in a few states, but that's it. The Supreme Court is going to rule on it soon. If they rule in favor, all state level laws banning it would be overturned, forcing the states to accept it and legalize it.That, or they'll simply let it become legal on a state-by-state basis. Are you in favor of, not caring, or against it? |

i think people are being ridiculous because there really is no valid reason to not let someone get married just because they're the same gender
america boasts about being a free, equal-rights country and yet you can't get married if you're the same gender as your partner |

Isn't be h()m() against the Bible? And isn't marrying a religious thing?

really marriage shouldn't be considered much of a religious thing anymore (especially considered non-religious people get married all of the time and nobody gets angry)
i'd argue further but i can't really talk about it without going too far into religion so |

| They're not exactly supporting the bible in this case. Yes, according to many Christians, including myself, it IS a sin. Although not all of ours laws are dictated by someones religion. They're not talking about changing marriage at the religious level, just being recognized by the state. |

i don't get why people make such a big deal about it
it's just how they were raised or what they believed, there's nothing wrong with it
anyone who is against it is an asshat

| Can I also say that, do you follow the whole of Leviticus? Because it condemns a LOT more than same gender relationships. |

Why would I support it ? That's basically going against what I believe in.
And to the people who call me a hater, I really could care less. |

Also...
The Constitution states freedom FROM religion is important, and that there is a clear separation of church and state in the eyes of the law, and that the first amendment applies:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." |

Okay, it's freedom OF religion, not from. There is a bigger difference then you think. |

i hope youre also against eating ham, getting tattoos, rounded haircuts, consulting psychics, gossiping, kids cursing at their parents (you SHOULD be against it, but you shouldnt kill them "And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death), remarriage after divorce, and women speaking in church,
