I never really taken guitar seriously until half a year ago. Technically, I've been playing for two years, but I had virtually no dedication back then. I wished I spent more time playing two years ago. But yeah, I only picked up music theory recently.

When I just started taking guitar seriously (I play an acoustic, by the way), I played for about half an hour a day. Now, it goes from an hour to four hours. Really depends on how busy I am.

| oh, i do electric and acoustic both, though i'm more drawn to electric because i love soloing and using effects and other cool technical techniques that can't be performed on acoustic |

I suck at playing solos.
I can write a solo, i just cant play it.
I have the knowledge of music theory to write one, It's just that I have a bad technique. I can't hammer on or pull off very efffectively, and my fingers are uncoordinated. |

lol
you don't even need knowledge in music theory
as long as you don't repeat the same things over and over again you're soloing atonally |

I'm planning on getting a Fender Squier Bullet HSS sometime in the future. What caught my eye was the three pickups and the decent tremolo bar. It's pretty cheap (in terms of electric guitars) too, $129, I think.

I've always wanted an Ibanez or something, but I figured a Squier would be a lot more versatile.

yeah, the stat feels a lot more natural, the ibanez would be for later because more could be done on it i think, like, it seems like a soloing guitar while the squier one seems like it can either be done with rhythm or soloing
idk, it's just the feeling of the neck and the body |

I still like acoustics for their bright, clean sounds. But there's much more dimensions to an electric, though.
