SIMPLE.
HAVE IT SET RELATIVELY IN THE FUTURE. NOT TOO FAR.. NOT TO CLOSE. 2018 MAYBE?
Enough caps.
Then have it about Nightwing, played by Levitt. He is a crimefighter plagued with the urge to leave. And this time he has a sidekick. Little Robin.
And for the fun of it, have good old Bruce as a mentor with only a cameo appearance. Cleverly played by Christian Bale (age makeup yaaaay) |

There's no need to have batman as a main anymore. Its too repetitive
Batman Batman Returns Batman Forever Batman & Robin Batman Begins The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Rises
Is there enough already?
What we need is more Nightwing. |

But they're all rehashes
Some replayed origin story, usually in flash back Some girl that he likes Has to make a choice between being batman and the girl Some guy becomes a villain Said villain either dies at the end or goes to Arkham And then it usually ends with some cool cinematic shot of something. |

Which is exactly why we need a film about John Constantine.
In the comic's mythos when a demon is bested by a human three times, it will be taken to the darkest corners of hell, and ripped apart for centuries. That could make an interesting trilogy, with Nergal as the main antagonist.
You could also have a time-travel sub-plot about John's battle, with The Golden Boy; his twin brother, who he apparently killed whilst in his mother's womb. John is sent to an alternate universe where The Golden Boy is everything that John wants to be.
And, there are so many more stories to cover. |

And, there's also an interesting storyline where John goes on a reality show (in the vein of Most Haunted) to investigate the mysterious murder of a viewer, but learns that the show is being broadcast directly to Hell.
I mean people are idiots not to give the film a proper adaption. I admit, I like the film, with Keanu Reeves OK, but he's not Constantine. He's Neo. |

Yes, but to me he will always be "The One". He gets a lot of hate, but I like him ya' know? He's not the best actor, but he certainly has charisma, but he doesn't have the acting chops to pull of the complex role that is John Constantine.
John Constantine is a a(zz) (w)hole You don't like him, yet, you love him. He's constantly going against the odds, to prove a point. He cheats, to win.
No other character is like him. No one. |

"Dean Winchester"
Qualities of John, exist in Dean, as the show's creator is a huge Hellblazer fan, and early in development, the show was originally considered to be a adaption of said comics.
"Ash Williams"
He is far from unlikable. Yeah, he's a bit of a coward, but he has matured in a straight-forward hero, and destroyer of deadites.
"Hoss Delgado"
Billy & Mandy was terrible OK. |
