I feel as though I need to put out some sort of AR survival guide for the newer people to Apocalypse Rising. I will describe many different ways for you to survive, and all the paths you can take in the AR community. This can also be referred to as a guide to get promoted in the community group.
[THE SURVIVOR]
Playing the Survivor is mainly for people who don't want to get too involved with fighting other players, and more on killing zombies and surviving. If you play this path - then sir, I salute you. Not many players take this path. Most of the people that play AR usually take the bandit path - but nevermind about ranting. To start your epic journey you will need food and water. Don't focus so much on getting top tier weapons, and more on collecting enough food and water to survive you a few days. Every spawn (Well every spawn I spawned in) has a city or some type of village near them where you can find food, water, possibly some gear, and if you are lucky.. A higher tier pistol or maybe even a rifle. I suggest not picking up the rifles like the Mosin Nagant and the Lee Enfield (And the revolver) because they make a LOT of noise and generally, those rifles/the revolver have low ammo. I also suggest not getting a shotgun. If you are ever going to pick up a primary weapon, I suggest picking up an assault rifle or SMG, even better if they have a silencer.
I will get into more dept on why you need to make a very low amount of noise. The main reason is: other players. Other players will detect your noise and be more aware or your presence, and possibly may even start looking for you. Silenced weapons may be really rare, and honestly I'm not sure if they are still in the game. If they are, I suggest picking them up. For pistols, I suggest getting either the Cz75 or the Tec-9. Now if you want to survive and kill the least amount of players as possible, I suggest going into rural areas, where players would not normally go. Mostly places like small towns, farms, etc. Places you SHOULDN'T go are major cities, airfields, the dock, and the Forest. Note, this is for the people that are thinking to get a rank like "Nomad" in the AR community group.
[THE BANDIT]
Ah, the bandit. Bandits are primarily feared within AR, and after playing I can see why. They are ruthless killers that go by their own rules, and their own code. The problem is, if you are a bandit, no one will want to team up with you, unless you are very good friends with them. The bandits primary role is to get the highest tier weapons as fast as possible. If you are going to play a bandit, I suggest getting the "Cardio" perk, as you will need to do a lot of travelling to get those goodies you want. To start off, after you spawn, look for people who spawned with you and loot all the goodies you can find in the area and head to the nearest airfield. Note, all bandits are recommended to have the map glued into their head, if not you could probably find it on google images. After getting to an airfield, getting your loot, etc, head to big areas where people generally are. Delve and Amend are primarily filled with newer players that you could easily gun down.
The reason why a lot of people play the bandit is because it is exhilarating, fun, and gives a lot of rewards. The only downside is the lack of people willing to help you, and after enough kills people will start SEARCHING for you. NOTE: Whenever I played Bandit, and I killed someone, they would throw a huge amount of cuss words and mean things towards me. If you experience this I suggest screenshotting it and sending it to an Administrator in the AR Community, and also report them to ROBLOX.
[THE HERO]
The hero, possibly the least chosen path of them all.Heroes are people that don't randomly kill, and mostly go for bandit. I play the hero alot, myself, and I have a good time. People want to team with me, and I generally have a good time. This does not mean I am saying you should choose this over everything else, however.
If you really want to be a hero, you should follow this guide. First off, when you spawn, as all of the above, pick up whatever you can find. I suggest getting high tier loot because you will need to kill a LOT of bandits. I suggest heading to an airfield (NOT THE TRINITY AIRFIELD ITS GARBAGE) and picking up some good weapons. I also highly recommend (Forgot to put it on the above ones) to get a LOT of bloodbags. Not only will they help you against zombies, but they can help you in gun fights too. Now if you plan to kill bandits, BE TACTICAL. Play smart. I suggest hiding in a convenient place where you can't be seen, and sneaking behind your targets. Another note is ONLY kill people with the bandit mask. And if you get shot at, don't hesitate to shoot back. AR has a cool system where it checks if you killed aggressively or defensively. I suggest not being too aggressive, but if in the situation where you feel threatened and outgunned, then go ahead and be aggressive. In this situation, though, I recommend that you find a suitable hiding place.
Another thing I want to add about the hero: Be nice. Being nice can get you places you can't even imagine. Kindness goes a long way. Your fellow survivors in the AR community would like nothing more than for someone to help them, and be nice towards them. If you see someone in the distance being chased by a zombie, then kill the zombie and offer a bloodbag. You see someone about to be run over by a car? Shoot the cars wheels. Helping people could get you help in return like a team mate, maybe some loot, etc.
So this is pretty much my "Survival" guide. I can go more in depth with how to play and such, but this is more for the people who want to choose a certain path in the AR community.
Oh, and leave suggestions on what I should improve for a possible 2.0 for this guide. |

| I agree, but mine is more for the people that aren't familiar with the different paths you could take in AR. |
