I've heard it's been released (Note: Unconfirmed, but interface designs are out), and appears to take up two more (slightly less valuable) spaces in the upper right corner where we usually want to have some other sort of interface.

Overall, I'm seeing a general progression of GUI space being taken up, and I understand why ROBLOX might like it, but I don't.

ROBLOX will eventually even start to run out of space, but we'll be running out long before. I know there are ways to hack off the interface right now, and to remove it, but I'd rather not resort to them. Instead, ROBLOX, why can't you just _DESIGN_ it better.

The best design would be a nice little menu button in some corner, or even a shortcut key to open up the menu (and of course, allow us scripters to open it (not close it). It would then pop up with all your buttons, etc. (Think steam...).

Anyway, that's my solution/take on the interface problems. Now, the service... well, I'm happy. Please include a new (official) method to check if someone owns something, but doesn't cache the data for more than a minute or something, or include some sort of request to not cache.

In any event, change is (usually) good. :D

Ugh. Roblox always have to make the space we can use so small.. Although, I do like the idea of having a pop-up menu for all the things you can get (a bit like the main menu)

We should have the leaderboard integrated into the menu, and have the chat expand when the menu is opened.

I just think that they should do what was done in toontown, and only allow set words and phrases.

Do what they do in ourWorld.

Allow words in a dictionary, but no numbers and nothing that isn't in the dictionary.

Separate chat for safechat and non-safechat.

Can't they just check if a player is safe chat, and if not, then remove the safe chat bubble?

Or just make it an option for non-safe chat users. (It is our means of communicating with them after all).

Annnd I'll repost this from the last thread since it got buried and is still relevent.

"1)Gui - Same problem which is with Teleport, in that GUIs take mouse clicks across Z-levels. They also haven't fixed overlaying CoreGuis, making it possible to trick people into clicking buttons. (Yea, Instance's 2nd argument still doesn't check RobloxLocked, even though it was reported >4 months ago.)

2)Cookies - Currently, it looks like the HttpAsyncPost they are using to buy items works either off the new token callbacks in join.ashx, or from the regular roblo.security cookie. If it is the later, there is no CSRF token set to it as to prevent convincing people to click a URL shortener link and buy an item with no prompt. If it is the former, then there is still the problem of the token not being reset if the client doesn't close cleanly (invalidate is only called when the NetworkClient is disconnected, not crashed, and the renew is a simple POST with no token either, not even saying what the current session is.) This might not be a problem, since the cookie might only be set for the Studio instance and not across browsers (which I seem to doubt, seeing how it runs off the IE engine), but is still a potential problem.

Oh, and to prove that you can still overlay CoreGuis:

Hey, a suggestion to those people with all the fancy forum icons...

A regular thread that is unread under MyForums or elsewhere on the forums will have a red symbol next to it. For the more popular threads, there is no indication whether or not there are unread posts or not.

Suggesting a similar symbol for them. (Probably not the best places to put it, but I had just thought about it when I clicked to read the recent posts on this thread, and Sorcus will end up reading it, so it might go through).

I know the forums are planned for an update, or so I have heard, but this small one would be nice.
