Ploop, Hashiru, SkateBored, nooooooo, and I have all joined together to form 10K Studios. We're dropping our current project to go down a new path.
Here's the idea for the game so far.
You spawn in a village in the forest on the coast. The land will be huge, including many biomes such as forests, deserts, volcanoes, snowy mountains, farmland, grasslands, caves, and more!
The game will have a zelda-like setting. The skybox and castles will be amazing to see from a distance and up-close.
There will be vendors in the castles that sell things such as archery items, spells, clothing, melee items, and more! Your character will have a set of 3 specific attacks he can use during combat, and you will have a list of attacks you've earned/bought that you may organize for battles. For example, you may wish to have 3 specific fire-based spells, melee, or archery attacks when facing an ice monster. The combat will be turn-based, and once you begin fighting an enemy, you will be locked in it until one of you is victorious.
You will be able to earn specific spells, clothes (armor), mounts, and other abilities by either training with the castletown trainers or completing small dungeons.
You will be able to engage other players in combat, but ONLY if they are allies with the enemy castle.
The landscape will be huge, and take about 10 minutes to fully walk across. But with a mount, it may be drastically shortened.
Since this game will be so huge, I'm going to adopt the minimalist building style so I can build faster and with a lot less lag.
So what do you guys think about this new game idea? Is it too bold? Is it too large? Are there certain things about the short description that you don't like? Please share your thoughts! :) |

| There should be this evil tower down some path, and there one way going up and one going down and theres a set of chests at top and bottom with some stuff in it. you have to go through obsticales and stuff like that, and remember some code to go into some special bonus room and a chest and inventory gui. I dunno how good any of you are with scripting, but this seems like a good game to make keyboard only. It would make it really cool.
Anyway, I wish you luck. I would try and get a nice engine with scripts made before you start building. That's my advice. Also, figure out what stats you want to add to the game. |

My thoughts on this game; Too Bold? Never too bold... Don't think otherwise... Too Large? Bigger is better (Almost always). Overall I love the idea, and consider myself a Fantasy/Medieval genre expert, if you need help with names, terms, and weaponry for the game send me a message and I can consult to the best of my abilities. :D |

| Just please. I do NOT want to see almost-new players with end-game gear. Do ANYTHING to prevent it. I see high level players handing out the best gear to new players in almost every game. |

| I think it is a great idea. It in my opinion will have kinda a Final Fantasy feel to it. So I hope it will be awesome! But i must ask, Will there be classes like wizards, warriors, and archers? And if there is maybe you could do in depth into the differant classes like haveing a fire wizard or ice wizard. And so on with the other classes. |

@CHAD i think that there should be a flee button witch lets you stop the battle if you joined on accident, or need a break etc.
