Currently, I am developing a source mod called "Reversal" which I'll try to get on steam.
First of all, the gameplay is unique, with the main mechanics being: reversing gravity, and using a flintlock-type pistol that shoots a blue spark, and wherever the spark lands the gravitational pull adjusts and pulls in that direction. The camera is in third person, and combat uses a staff to hit people with. However, the "people" you will be hitting aren't technically people- their in-game models are slightly blurry black shadowy figures which vaguely resemble a human. Upon death, they disappear into black smoke. The controls are simple: WASD to move, q to toggle gravity, e to toggle between staff and pistol, mouse to look around, left click to use weapon and right click to interact.
So, what do you think? Suggestions, comments, etc? |

Sure. Although, I thought this game would work better in third person- after all, plat forming is made much less frustrating in third person, and the staff/pistol would look better in third person; as the camera goes to an over-shoulder view and the character model rests its head against said shoulder, squinting its eye. Nonetheless, I can still make it an option to choose between the two. |

"" flintlock-type pistol that shoots a blue spark" dude don't ruin a perfectly good gun so ruin this pile of crap instead: http://www.im fdb.org/wi ki/Bon d_Arms_Derringer remove the spaces and and two shot capacity."
I don't understand what is wrong with using a flintlock. I don't really know a way to describe what I'm talking about- it's not really a spark, more of a small orb. |

@TheGreatLordSatan
Upon creating the game, the original idea for the story is this: "When you dream, your spirit goes to another dimension. Some people die in their sleep if it does not return. Your spirit was captured by things only known as "the shadows", and locked away- with help from a mysterious voice known only as "The Director", you must escape to reconnect your soul with your body and wake up from your possible eternal sleep." If you've got a better idea, tell me.
Currently, I've only just made a start on it and I am making the tutorial level at the time of writing. |

"plat forming is made much less frustrating in third person,"
In my opinion, it depends on the game. |

First of all, sorry about the typo. Chrome just loves to auto-correct me. Plat forming and platforming have two very different meanings.
Well, I am taking my information from game reviewer yahtzee. Besides, I think the combat would look much bettter in third person.
The controls, updated:
WASD: Move
Q: Toggles gravity
E: Toggles weapon
Shift: Sprint
Control: Crouch
Space: Jump
F: Interact
R: Change perspective (third person by default)
Left click: Use weapon
Right click: Aim down sights of pistol/Block with staff |

| Note: I will never under any circumstances put DRM on any of my released titles. I don't want another SimCity 5 disaster- and nor do I want to punish the paying customer. I realise DRM just doesn't work. |
